Dallas Brown set one of Dallas Brown's replies as an official response to "Refreshing calendar" in HashBang Industries
Dallas Brown replied on July 22, 2009 01:27 to the question "Refreshing calendar" in HashBang Industries:
Jeffrey,
Please make sure you are running the latest version (2.1.1) by clicking on the icon in the menu bar (at the top of your screen) and selecting 'Check for Updates'.
In the latest version iDeskCal updates automatically when anything is added/edited/removed from iCal and it will automatically not show events once they have occurred.
I hope this helps!

Dallas Brown replied on July 21, 2009 07:30 to the question "Calendar display won't show more than 7 days" in HashBang Industries:
Laretha,
The setting in preferences is the Max days that can be shown.
The actual amount of data that is shown depends on the amount of items in your calendar and the size (mainly height) that you set iDeskCal to be.
For example if you have a ton of calendar events in the next 2 days, then depending on the size you set iDeskCal to be, you might only see the next 2 or 3 days.
However, if you only have lets say one event, each day, for the next two week, then depending on your size again of course, then you might see 2 weeks worth or more.
Same thing goes if say you have an event tomorrow and then nothing else for another week, and then one event for that entire week, depending on the size of iDeskCal and your setting in the preferences, you might see 4 weeks worth.
So the way to see more data is simply to give iDeskCal more room to be able to show that data, by making it taller.
The problem with doing a toolbar, is that since iDeskCal sits below your desktop (which is what allows items such as folders to be on top of it) it is not possible to manipulate something like a scroll bar.
I hope this information helps.

Dallas Brown replied on July 21, 2009 03:42 to the question "Multiple User Accounts" in HashBang Industries:
Yes. If you place iDeskCal in the Applications directory then all of your accounts should be able to access it.
The only "possible" downside is that your preferences and registration will not show up on the other accounts, but you can setup the preferences for the other accounts and even have different configurations of settings on each account. You can use your license to get the other accounts from being in trial mode. Just make sure to place your registration somewhere that all the accounts can get to it.
Dallas Brown replied on July 18, 2009 00:26 to the question "Change the size!" in HashBang Industries:
Susan,
Let me make sure I understand what is happening...
So you are saying that after you turn on 'Make draggable and resizeable' and the program restarts and you resize the window by clicking and dragging from the lower right hand corner, like you would resize any other program, and then restart the application to turn off 'make draggable and resizeable' that the size you changed to is lost and it just fills the screen?
Let me know if that is what is happening, and if not, what exactly is happening.
You can also try resizing the window by using the width/height and X/Y text fields under the display tab.
This is the best option to resize and position, as you can get a more exact positioning and sizing.

Dallas Brown replied on July 17, 2009 06:23 to the question "Tiger version?" in HashBang Industries:
I am afraid not.
iDeskCal uses what is called the 'Calendar Store' which is the central location where calendar events and to do items are stored, and is where apps where iCal, Mail, etc store and access the information.
The 'Calendar Store' was introduced as a new way of handling this information in Leopard, and iDeskCal is based off of this.
I apologize for any inconvenience.

Dallas Brown replied on July 17, 2009 06:18 to the idea "kill the menubar" in HashBang Industries:
When you say the menu bar are you referring to the icon in the bar at the very top of the screen, or are you meaning the application title bar?
If you mean the application title bar, the title bar should only be on if you turn it on in the preferences by click on 'Make draggable and resizeable' and then is only on for a single launch of the application.
This is because this mode is only supposed to be used for quickly placing iDeskCal where you want it, and then should be disabled as it is unsightly and can interfere with other features of iDeskCal.
That said, I do like your idea of not having that bar even in this mode, and still being able to move it around easily.
I will look into what I can do with that.
If you were meaning the menu bar at the top of the screen, you can choose within the preferences to either have the menu bar icon and/or the dock icon.-
