Sorry to hear this. Has webpost ever worked for you?
My only guess is that somehow the Skitch preference file got corrupted. You can force Skitch to make a clean Preference file by deleting the current one and launching Skitch.
First, quit Skitch. Then you'll need to delete 2 files.
You can find them in your user folder>Library>Preferences folder
com.skitch.skitch.plist
com.plasq.skitch.plist
Generally best to Right-click on each first and 'Compress' each first before you delete the original. This gives you a backup if you want your old preferences back.
NOTE: You'll need to re-enter your skitch.com account details as well as setup any webpost accounts etc again.
I hope this helps,
Keith
Keith replied on November 17, 2009 22:11 to the question "Drag and drop onto pdf (?)" in plasq:
Hi Stuart — Skitch doesn't currently do image compositing (that is, adding one image on top of another), so it won't be able to add an image on top of a PDF for you. Sorry!
Something like PDFPenPro might suit your workflow though and is able to do this: http://www.smileonmymac.com/PDFpen/
hope that helps,

Keith replied on November 08, 2009 23:45 to the question "resizing image" in plasq:
Just drag one of the corners of the Skitch frame — what you see is what you will get in the email. Drag out your image from 'DragMe' tab to your email/desktop etc.
If you had originally dragged in a high resolution (digital camera etc) image from iPhoto etc, then make sure you have the 'Export at original size' checkbox that appears unchecked. If you leave it ticked, the file you drag out will be the original (large) size.
Hope that helps!

Keith replied on October 18, 2009 22:28 to the question "Resize without maintaining aspect ratio" in plasq:
hi Alan,
There's no current way to do that sorry, because it's such a rare thing for people to want to do from our experience. Also because people are also getting themselves in trouble by doing it accidentally!
It's definitely on our to-do list though.
You'll need a more 'in-depth' image editor in order to achieve that result.
Keith replied on September 28, 2009 03:26 to the problem "Keychain, Hot Corners, Beta, Oh my!" in plasq:
Hi Kate
Skitch is just asking for access to the keychain, because the new version needs access to the same keys (your upload account details) as the old version. Because Skitch is in beta, as we continue to improve it, the old versions expire to ensure everyone has the latest version.
By 'hot corners' do you mean the OS X 'Active Screen Corners'? That's not really related to Skitch, and is perhaps a separate issue. I've seen them stop working intermittently on my Snow Leopard installation here. Quite odd!
Keith replied on September 14, 2009 07:04 to the question "drag an image from skitch into an email-How To?" in plasq:
Sorry to say, but currently this is not possible (maybe in the near future with HTML5)
However, if you want to use Gmail in this fashion, I personally use and a 3rd party application called Mailplane (http://mailplaneapp.com/) which is a single-site-browser app which allows you to do things like drag and drop files onto a Gmail compose window in order to attach it.
Alternatively, you might also like to set up your Gmail account to work with Mail.app
I hope this helps.
Keith replied on September 14, 2009 06:27 to the question "error 77 when logging in after new account..." in plasq:
Hi rsf — sorry to hear you're experiencing this.
To clarify,
So, you're saying you've set up another user account on the same machine (running 10.5? 10.6?) and when you try to login with Skitch on this other account you're getting the error 77?
Does the new OS X user account have administration privileges?
(That is, it has the checkbox ticked for [√] Allow user to administer this computer.)
We'll look into this...

Keith replied on August 17, 2009 21:29 to the question "Mockup a multiple page PDF in skitch" in plasq:
Hi Anthony,
Unfortunately no, currently Skitch doesn't support multi-page PDFs. In addition, be aware that marked-up PDF are internally being converted to bitmap image files, so may not be suitable for printing.
If you need to mark up multi-page PDFs a lot, you may consider PDF Pen Pro by Smileonmymac which is built specifically with this in mind.

Keith replied on August 12, 2009 23:34 to the question "where can i change the default save file location?" in plasq:
Hi rsf,
Unfortunately there's no way to change this at the moment. I thought there might be a workaround using an applescript to watch the folder and sync it, but that will cause confusion with the database file Skitch uses to keep track of the images.
We'll look into adding that as a preference, and I apologize for the inconvenience.
