I just cleaned up the script a bit and put it here:

Let me know if you find it useful!

Use Changes to directly view differences described in a patch fileIt would be really cool if Changes could take a single patch file and show those differences in the Changes UI. Obviously it wouldn't be able to show the full original files, but it could basically do the "Differences Only" mode. It would be nice because it would be in a left/right layout, and have inter-line changes highlighted.
I actually just wrote a little ruby script to let me do this, and it's really handy (but would be even nicer if it was built-in). Basically I just read the patch file, and stripped any line starting with '+' (and the first character of every other line) and saved that as my "original" file. Then I did the same (this time stripping lines starting with '-') for the "modified" file. Then I used Changes to compare those files. It could definitely be more sophisticated (especially around the file/line number markers in the patch file), but the general idea seems to work well.
Kelan replied on June 04, 2009 09:06 to the idea "Separate key-combos to move the window with/without resizing" in Irradiated Software:
I see your point about having too many shortcuts. My modifier keys are already stretched pretty thin for use with global modifiers as it is.
Another thought I just had would be to have only a single key-combo (as it is now), but have the first press in a certain direction move the window to that edge without resizing, and then the 2nd press in the same direction would resize the window. It's quick and easy to press the combo twice in succession (to emulate the current behavior), but it gives the flexibility of pressing only once to just move the window, and doesn't take over any more shortcut combos. This could even be added to the "corner" commands too (again, without any new shortcuts).

Separate key-combos to move the window with/without resizingIt would be nice to be able to have a different shortcut key-combo (or an extra modifier key) to specify whether or not to resize the window when moving it on a per-use basis, as opposed to making that a "permanent" option in the Preferences.
So, for example, if the shortcut to move the window to the right half of the screen (and resize) is ctrl-opt-cmd-arrow (which it is by default), then the shortcut to move without resizing could be ctrl-opt-shift-cmd-arrow (notice the extra shift).-

Kelan replied on April 29, 2009 16:39 to the problem "Can't drag old images from History" in plasq:
If I try to open one of these "bad" images from within the Skitch History UI (either by double-clicking on it, or pressing the "Open" button in the bottom-right), it flips the window back around, but doesn't' change the image on the frontside from what it used to be.
However, if I open the matching file from within ~/Pictures/Skitch/ in Finder, it opens fine and loads into the Skitch UI. So, that will be a suitable workaround for me (I hadn't thought of trying this before).
Upon further investigation, I found that my Skitch History plist file (iat ~/Library/Preferences/com.plasq.skitch.history) is the problem. I must have copied it from another computer. All of the "bad" images have a path with my old user name, and the "good" ones have a path with my new user name. So, thats the problem.
A few suggestions: It seems like those paths should be relative to my home dir. Also, it would have been nice if I got a visible warning when Skitch was unable to open the file. Even a simple popup message that said "Could not open the file at [FIle path here]", so I could have seen that it (a) couldn't find the file, and (b) that path would have shown me it was the problem.
Thanks for your help!

Nope, it doesn't seem to be an issue of time.
Another clue I just found is that it's logging the following error in Console.app > "Console Messages":
4/28/09 3:59:30 PM Apr 28 [0x0-0x192192].com.plasq.skitch[24259] XML document can't be opened.
I looked in ~/Pictures/Skitch/ and verified that the appropriate file is in fact there (based on it's name and mod date). I opened the file in TextMate, and it looks like the XML is well-formed, and looks good otherwise (when comparing it to one of the .skitch files that does export ok).
Kelan asked a question in plasq on April 28, 2009 19:07:
Is it possible to include the original creation date in exported image? When I drag an image from the History window, both the creation and modification date on the resulting file are set to the current date/time. Is it possible to set at least the creation date to the date/time when the image was first created? Skitch knows this info, as it shows it in the info pane when you select an image in the History window.
Is there another way to export images that would preserve the creation date? Or is there a way to convert the .skitch file (in ~/Pictures/Skitch/) into another format (such as png or jpg)?
Thanks!

Can't drag old images from HistoryI am unable to drag old images from the History window. When I try, there is no green "+" icon on the drag-image, and when I let go it snaps back to it's original location. This only affects images created on or before April 18, 2008. I can drag newer images, or the current image from the front-side with no problem.
I am using the latest version of Skitch (1.0b8.1 v924).
