Yeah; I just started experiencing this randomly again, recently. My workaround is to just close and re-open but it does appear occasionally throughout the day. – keldwud, on August 13, 2009 23:03

Slow performance on homepage only. Choppy, stuttering. After updating on Saturday August 08 and a restart, I noticed that the homepage started behaving as if there were not enough resources to display and respond properly.
The behavior is consistent. Slide the cursor across the screen and the display responds with jerking, stuttering motions as if the system is under a heavy load. This issue does not occur when using any other program and only occurs within the homepage on all views.
I am running jolicloud on an eee PC 701 and did not experience this issue before a recent update.
keldwud replied on August 08, 2009 21:11 to the problem "low sound on ASUS eeePC 1000HA" in Jolicloud:
I noticed this problem starting this week. The sound was at appropriate levels from the time I installed it up until last week. Since then, the maximum level has been quite inaudible.
I regularly update jolicloud when prompted so I assume it has something to do with one of the recent updates. I should keep track of which files are being updated so that I can go back and take a look in case something changes. Does anyone know where I can find a historical list of updates?
I also have an eeePC. My model is the 701.
I haven't had a chance to look into it yet, but when I get a chance I'll do some research unless the jolicloud guys come up with a resolution first.

Skype - Problem with Audio Playback. Microphone does not work. The default settings for the newest build of Skype when using Jolicloud are set to Default Device. This will produce an error when dialing out: "Problem with Audio Playback". In addition to this issue, most internal microphones or capture devices are muted by default in ubuntu installs. The following steps should correct this. If anyone needs screenshots, I can provide them.
This worked for me on an EEE PC 700 series. It may not necessarily apply to your build or your hardware but it is very likely to work with most systems.
Open skype options
Select Sound Devices
Change Sound Out and Ringing to pulse
Change Sound In to HDA Intel (hw:Intel,0)
Apply your settings and now we need to go into the volume control. This can be accessed through the volume icon on the toolbar or you can access it through a terminal with the command:
gnome-volume-control
Select Preferences and place a checkmark in capture and then raise the volume on this device and ensure that it is activated.

Removing your services multiple times will resolve the duplicate favicons in the top rowRemoving your services multiple times will resolve the duplicate favicons in the top row.
I first noticed this when the live streaming was launched. I had duplicate twitter, facebook, flickr and friendfeed links at the top. Removing them, through the setup link, and then clicking on remove again resolved the issue. Adding them once more placed only one icon each at the top. Although I think my rss feed may be missing. I may have to add that again.

The "Tour" function does not appear to be working properly.Tonight when I signed into Streamy, there was a new prompt to 'take a look around' or something like that. I'm sure there was supposed to be some information or a different prompt when exploring streamy but all I received were blank yellow boxes and a couple of gray boxes with black x'es inside of them.
I am using firefox 3.0.4 and ubuntu heron.

Cannot access sign in page with Google Chromeit is 19:45 MST and due to a recent update, I can no longer access the sign in page while using Google Chrome. I am not going to switch to Firefox or IE just so that I can access Streamy. I was really excited about the product. :(
