Kenneth LeFebvre replied on August 16, 2009 03:54 to the question "Urgent - My Wife Thinks You Support Abortion, Forbidding Me to Shop With You... HELP!" in Whole Foods Market:
Personally, I thought Winnie's response was completely adequate. It was pretty clear to me that their corporate offices have chosen to grant their individual stores the freedom to donate company funds to whichever organizations they choose.
I think much of the ensuing comment fights that started are the "BS," not Winnie's initial response.
I do, however, totally agree with your assessment that such freedom in the local stores doesn't really warrant the accusation that Whole Foods, the company, supports (and definitely not "actively supports") Planned Parenthood.
Just my 2¢, though...

Kenneth LeFebvre marked one of Winnie's replies in Whole Foods Market as useful. Winnie replied to the question "How does Whole Foods decide which organizations to donate to?".

Get Satisfaction reformatted my comment to make it next to impossible to read... maybe a new thread will work better. :) Sorry for the duplicate posting.

I don't mind them expanded, but I understand Phil's concern and think I might like them collapsed when the list of links gets bigger like your preview shows. When you add the option to collapse, I would encourage you to add the ability to filter the list of links as well. A lot of the links you're showing are ones I probably wouldn't use very often, so I wouldn't want to waste the space on each post for the infrequently used services... maybe have a "more" link that pops up a menu of the links I've configured to be normally hidden. (I'm picturing Google's "More" link at the top of the page.)

Action Links Too Close TogetherYour recent formatting changes need some additional work.... It's a nice idea to group the action links into types of activities, but they need to be spaced out a little better. They're crammed together and it's hard to read them at a glance.

I *think* it's mostly sites with Ajax. But, I cannot recreate a crash on demand, so it's difficult to test for a specific pattern. Also, I *think* it usually happens with multiple tabs open. I can't recall a crash happening with only one site open...
Thomas, I was experiencing these crashes with NO extenstions (beyond whatever you installed out-of-the-box) installed. I ran with nothing installed for a few days, after the release of Firefox, to see if that would help... since I still got crashes, I went ahead and reinstalled my favorite add-ons.

I haven't been able to determine any pattern to when the crashes occur. But, once a crash does happen, it seems that more often than not, if I click the button to Restore My Session, it will crash again. Not always, but often enough that I tend to always click Start New Session.-

Kenneth LeFebvre shared an idea in Feedly on July 05, 2008 13:12:
Ad Hoc Feed CreationI would love to have a way to pull a single page from the web into feedly and have it converted into a "post". Perhaps using a plugin similar to Google Notebook. You could ask me to highlight the various attributes (like author, date, title, body, etc.) and then you would create an item in a special feed.
I use feedly for annotating and sharing content so much that I often subscribe to feeds just to get a certain article into feedly. Unfortunately, not everyone publishes feeds, so I have to resort to other means to share that content, and I lose the centralized store of everything I found interesting.
