Kershnee replied on November 09, 2009 08:43 to the question "Open a web page at a certain resolution?" in Yola:
Hi Mike,
Apologies for the delayed reply. As far as I know, this is not possible.
"ctrl + mousewheel" is actually a web browser function, it is used to zoom in and zoom out.
It is not possible to change the resolution of a webpage, since it is a client-side setting. The resolution is dependent on that users settings.

Just to add to Sanja's reply - Changing your domain settings can result in your site no longer working. Please be sure you understand the consequence of the changes you are making. If anything is unclear, please contact us for support before making your changes.
We also have a tutorial explaining how to access and use the Advanced Domain Settings for the domain you have purchased from Yola. You will be able to manage the domain settings in your Yola account. To view the tutorial, please click on this link: DNS for your Yola domain

Hi Mohammed,
Are these settings for Mobala.net?
**Please note:** Make sure you have 2 A records set up, one with the hostname "www" and one with the hostname "@" or "*". Both A records should point to 208.75.208.172 - you should do this regardless of which domain you want as primary.

Kershnee replied on November 06, 2009 10:26 to the idea "Yola Tutorial- Embed SWF Files Ep.6" in Yola:
Hi Al Hamill,
Here's how to add a flash file to your page:
1) Upload your .swf file. You can do this by clicking on the File Manager button.
2) Drag and drop a HTML widget onto your site, where you would like to see your flash presentation, and paste the following HTML inside it:
<object width="200" height="400">
<param name="movie"value="resources/myswffile.swf">
<embed src="resources/myswffile.swf"width="200"height="400"/>
</object>
3) Then substitute "myswffile.swf" in the code above - in both places, with the name of the file you uploaded, and you should see the flash movie appear when you close the HTML editor. You'll need to play around with the width and height values in the text above, to suit your movie's needs.
4) Remember to include any folder names in the file path if your file is stored in a folder in the File Manager. For example: "resources/Flash folder/myswffile.swf"

Kershnee replied on November 05, 2009 11:18 to the question "Transfer Domain to Yola" in Yola:
Hi Paul,
Thank you for your request to transfer your domain to Yola. Unfortunately it is not currently possible to transfer your domain to Yola so that we are your domain registrar. We will be offering this option in the near future.
To publish your site to your own domain, you will need to edit the settings on your domain so that it points to Yola. You will be able to find information on these links:
* Publish to a domain you already own
* Using a Domain Name not purchased from Yola
If your domain registrar does not allow you to create or edit the A Records on your domain, you can use the services of ZoneEdit. There is more information available about ZoneEdit on this Link

Kershnee replied on November 04, 2009 08:52 to the praise "A glimpse into my journey with Yola :)" in Yola:
Hey Joi Haha,
Welcome to Yola!! You can definitely create a table. You can use the following editor to help you - http://html101.yolasite.com/. Instructions and steps are on the site.
Here are some additional instructions that may help you to get started with your site:
After you log in to your account:
1. You will be taken to a page that will allow you choose a design for your site, you can choose a basic (or free) style, or you can select from our premium styles to give your website that extra edge. To select a style hover over it with your mouse and then click on the "Select Style" button.
2. This will take you to a preview of the style, so that you can see what your style will look like. There is a box towards the top of the page that says "Site Name". Fill this in with the name you wish. At this point you will also be asked to choose whether you want a webpage or a blog page. If you aren't sure choose a webpage to start with, it's easy to add a blog page later.
3. Once you have done this click on the "Continue" button. You can now chose to select a website address immediately (click on the "Get a Web Address" button if you wish to do this), this will take you to a page where you can publish your site. You can choose to buy a .com domain from Yola, or publish your site to a free .yolasite.com subdomain name. Follow the steps to publish your site. If you don't wish to select a website address just yet, you can click on the button that says "Skip and start building" and you will be taken to a page where you can build your site.
4. Once you have either chosen a website address or chosen to go direct to building your site you will be taken to a page where you can start building. In the "Content" sidebar at the right of your screen, there are widgets. Widgets allow you to add things such as text (writing) and pictures onto your webpage. You add these to your page by clicking on them with your mouse and then, holding the button of your mouse down, dragging them across the screen. If you are doing it properly a grey image of the widget will move across the page. When the widget is over the page let go of your mouse button. You will then be able to start editing the widgets to add content such as text, images and videos. [What is a Widget?](http://www.yola.com/tutorials/what-is...).
5. If you want to make a new page click on "New Page" (the third button from the right above your page), you will be asked to give the new page a name, then you can add content to it using the widgets.
6. When you are happy with your site click "Publish" if you have not already done so and you will be taken through the steps to publish your site. Your site will be live as soon as you publish it. If you selected your web address when you created your site, simply click the yellow "Update My Site" button.
7. If you want to make changes to your site after you have published it, it's very easy to do, just log in to your account and open your site. You will be able to make all the changes you want. Don't forget to update (repubish) your site at the end of each session.
For detailed, step-by-step instructions please search our help topics or check the tutorials.

Hi Ali,
Here are the steps to adding the Disqus comment feature to your blog:
1. To get the comment code, your site needs to be published.
2. Click on the "Blog Manager" button.
3. Click on the "Settings" tab.
4. Click on the "Disqus" logo to visit www.disqus.com and register for an account by clicking on "Sign up, free".
5. Register your site in the blue box. Enter your site URL, site name and site short name.
6. Create your Disqus Profile in the green box. Enter your username, password, and email address.
7. Click on continue.
8. Choose your language and any other optional features you'd like to include with your commenting platform. Then click on continue.
9. In the "Choose Install Instructions" box, click on Yola/Synthasite.
10. Copy the code in the #2 box.
11. Go back to your blog manager settings, then paste the code into the box. Then click on Done.
12. When you preview your site and click on the blog title, you may see this message: "This page could not be reached by Disqus. If you are testing locally or on a password-protected page, please use the disqus_developer parameter as detailed here.." - please don't worry about that. You just need to update your site and you will see the comment box working on your published site.
You only need to add the code to your site once, and the comment feature will be enabled for all of your posts. You can then log in to your Disqus account to moderate any comments.
Please note that the comment box will only show up on your published site when you click on one of your post titles and scroll to the bottom of the post.
Instructions are also available on the Disqus Blog
Kershnee replied on November 02, 2009 11:05 to the question "How to add the 'login and register' system ?" in Yola:
Hi There,
Unfortunately we don't have a member register and login feature yet, but we hope to add it in future. We know that many people would like to have people register for accounts and have logins for their sites. We will need to do quite a bit of development to make this possible, so please be patient while we work on this.
This might not be quite what you had in mind, but you might want to try using Google Friend Connect
You can find information on how to add it to your site with this tutorial: Adding Google Friend Connect
Please let us know if this service meets your needs or if you have additional requirements as this will help inform our planning.
