A comment on the discussion "Creator & developer wish-list" in Vivaty:
Thanks for trying Vivaty Studio!
If you're having trouble previewing, you must first install the Vivaty Player. It is not included with the studio installer.
Please goto www.vivaty.com, and install the latest Vivaty Player. Clearly, we want to make it real easy to Preview your work in the Player, and the hot key is F5.
If this does not resolve the problem, please let us know. – Ben Kessler, on August 28, 2008 15:22

Is there more information you can provide on this topic?
This feature has always worked. I just tested it again, and it seems to work fine for me.
I can goto the Texture Property Page, and modify the "scale" of the texture transform, and the texture does properly scale in both the x and y directions. It looks the same in Vivaty Studio and Vivaty Player.
Can you please send a screen shot or sample file that will help me understand the problem better?

Ben Kessler replied on July 17, 2008 21:35 to the problem "Vivaty player won't install on Windows XP 64 bit edition." in Vivaty:
Hey there. Unfortunately we do not currently support 64-bit systems for the Vivaty player. We've had some success with a workaround on Windows Vista 64-bit but haven't had as much luck with Windows XP 64-bit. Check back here for further news on 64-bit support or an XP work around.
Again, I am sorry and thanks for your inquiry.

Ben Kessler replied on July 16, 2008 23:55 to the question "Why not Firefox?" in Vivaty:
Great news! If you simply can't wait to try out Vivaty Scenes in Firefox, we've learned of a work around:
- Install the IE Tab plugin - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire...
- Open a new tab (hold ctrl+T)
- Right-click on the tab and select "Switch rendering engine"
- Enter Vivaty on Facebook - http://apps.facebook.com/vivatybeta
You should then be prompted to install the Vivaty player if you haven't already. We'd love to hear your experiences with this solution so please let us know!
Here's a screenshot of Vivaty running in Firefox using IE Tab:
Ben Kessler replied on July 15, 2008 20:01 to the problem ""Almost There!" - NOT" in Vivaty:
Earl, I'm sorry you're having trouble installing the Vivaty player. There could be an issue with IE7 blocking popups or it could also be a graphics card issue.
Are you running Windows XP or Vista? Could you please send us your dxdiag file to help@vivaty.com? To do so go to Start>Run and type in dxdiag. Then save the file somewhere on your computer and attach it in the e-mail.
Hopefully we can resolve this issue quickly. Thanks!

I do a 2 hour commute every day that involves trains, Muni buses, shuttles, walking, etc. Also travel by plane every few weeks. Carry a laptop, two iPods, cell phone, multiple books, two pairs of glasses and other assorted goodies. – Ben Kessler, on July 10, 2008 18:47

Sorry you're having trouble using Vivaty. Let's try to diagnose this problem. Can you answer the following questions for me?
- What browser and OS are you using?
- Have you tried uinstalling the Vivaty player completely and then installing it again from the Facebook application page (http://apps.facebook.com/vivatybeta) ?
- Did you ever install the Flux player awhile ago?
Thanks!

I am a huge Timbuk2 enthusiast and make travels to different states in the U.S. and other countries very often. Currently I am living in San Francisco with a 2 hour commute every day and need an easy and comfortable way to bring all my gear with me. Outside of work I'm constantly on public transportation and moving about the city whether it be on bus, by foot, bike or car. Every bag I've owned before has completely worn - I've ripped holes, broken snaps, tore the stitching on velcro, etc. I handle my bags with love and care but everyday life just tears them apart!
Would love to participate.
