    Hey - it's a free world isn't it? If Cory has a negative view than that's his to share, as long as he's not being personal or nasty with it - I don't see a problem?

    @Tevis I can see what you're saying too - but I think you're going to get yourself to a point where you just don't use twitter anymore, as it won't do anything for you.

    Strangers - yeah fine, but what you'r talking about here is just building as big a following as poss without caring about the relevance of these followers in terms of what they're interested in being in line with what you're interested in.

    Of course we need to reach out to strangers, everyone is a stranger until we get to know them - but if you don't narrow it down to people who're in a similar field, or interested in similar things - then it'll just turn into a nightmare, you won't be able to build any friendships as you'll just be constantly inundated by completely unrelated stuff you're not intersted in, and you'll be getting spammed left right & centre, meaning you won't be able to spend time building relationships with the genuine people who're following you.

    I think Tweepme is onto a good Idea BUT they need to find a way to allow us to narrow it down, so we're exposed only to people interested in the same things, niche / interests as us - or it could really have a negative impact on those who use it, I think it could actually lead to a lot of people quitting twitter or dumping their ruined accounts & creating new ones - if they don't find a way to narrow it down, if members do indeed end up with 9,999 completely random followers & following.

    Cheers

    @Cory Albrecht

    Please explain how it is possible to falsely inflate your following & followers list?

    You either inflate it or you don't, you can't falsley do it, Tweepme doesn't give you pretend followers & following, they are real - how is it false? I'm confused....

    I agree with what other people are saying here about it being a bad idea to suddenly have 10 thousand unrelated irrelevent followers & following, filling up your twitter screen with irrelevent garbage that is of no interest to you - and I think Tweepme have made a bit of a blunder by not realising that & not making it possible to use categories or search, to narrow down the people you want to follow & be followed by - but I really don't understand how this can be falsely inflating.

    TweepMe Admin - Categorize
    This idea is really interesting - I can see both sides of the argument, and I think I can see a solution to make this work.

    Those people who 're saying this falsely increases twitter profile - how can it be false? if you've got 1000 followers then you've got 1000 followers, how you got them followers is besides the point & what does it matter to anyone else??

    I do agree with what people are saying however that suddenly having 9,999 un-relevent twitter "friends" is a complete waste of time, and will just full your screen with unwanted irrelevent rubbish, and spam up tyhe system, & you'll be spending all your time unfollowing people who are tweeting stuff you just have no interest in.

    So the way to make the most of this idea - would be to categorize, and even better still - allow search keywords, that searches members updates to check for instances of these keywords.

    The latter might be a bit tricky to code, but even if that can't be done, surely you can create categories, and ask members to categorize themselves, and limit how many categories they can choose - then only create recpirocal follows between members who put themselves into the same categories.

    Perfect idea, I think, would be that you put in a few keywords when you join, to say what you're interested in, and members updates are checked for instances of these keywords, and recip follows are only created with people where these keywords are found. For instance if I only want to talk to people who're interested in scuba diving, rock music, web marketing & metaphysical discussion - for example, if these are the things that interest me, then I'd only follow & be followed by members who have tweeted using one or more of these keywords.

    Cheers
