Kevin asked a question in iMeasure on April 06, 2009 09:40:
Results Page Issues. Are there some coding issues with the results page? My results say insufficient data but I have 18 weeks worth of meter readings ?? Last week I experianced the same effect mentioned by others that my rating went from A to C !! (I have the following error message Undefined variable: w in /home/imeasure/public_html/ratings.php on line 100) but I can not see any incomplete entires on my user daetails.

Building on this I run a similar spreadsheet and compare oil usage inlitres against degree days.
This allows calculation of correlation with degree days ( a measure of how cold it is) with predicted use and comparison with the before imeasure days !
For the data manipulators I calculate CUSUMs against the predicted values and the before and now situation both are done in Excel.
As for oil tank meter we use a "Watchman plus" This is an ultrasonic level device fitted in the fill point. It gives a remote readout (situated in our kitchen) so every one can see the oil level as as % of full tank. simple arithmetic gives us the weekly litres used. It has worked well for ~5 years and is battery powered
Also our oil supplier offers a regular fill service based on usage (so we should never require an emergency fill)

I like the idea of the bar chart out put.
In terms of my own monitoring I compare the heating energy requirements with the degree days from my nearest met office station. The data being available at http://www.eci.ox.ac.uk/research/ener.... ( I use the 16 degree base as this reflect the outside temp when our heating comes on)
One piece of info I would value is the current CO2 conversion factors for electricity/oil/gas etc being shown on the results page

I agree adding oil would be v.useful. Here in rural Scotland we do not have mains gas most people use oil so some form of recording oil use cms on sit glass would be ok but I would prefer turning that in to an estimaye of oil used as peoples oil tank would be different sizes also the ability to add bottled gas use (kgs of propane used ?)
All the best

Historic dataIs it possible to add historic data? I have ~ 2years worth of electricity, oil and smokeless fuel data which it would be interesting to compare with our current carbon emissions ?
