Hi Eric,
I would love to help you create your map. I'm a little fuzzy on what you specifically are looking to do. It sounds like you want to make a map that has highlighted regions in an administrative boundary shapefile of counties and states. This may involve some work with geographic map-making software. If you send me a few more details I can help construct what you are looking to do with this software. You can correspond with me directly at kevin@fortiusone.com
Thanks for your response and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

yale.map.ninja,
Thanks for your email. I believe you are talking about the button that has the share/embed symbol on it in the upper right hand corner of your edit page when you are making/editing a page in Maker! This button is currently useless and will be taken out in our next big update.
But do not fear, you can still share your map through this process. 1. Make a map in Maker! 2. Save the map in Maker! 3. View the saved version of the map in Maker! (by clicking 'view map' after you save the map in edit mode or click on my maps on the maker homepage and access the map there) 4. Open the details box (link in the upper right hand corner) 5. Click the link that says, "Do you want to embed this map in your website?". This will provide you with an embed code that you can use to place in your map in your blog/website.
We have currently disabled the share button in edit mode because we thought it would be best to not be able to share unfinished maps in edit mode.
Thanks and let us know if this works for you.
Best,

Hi Josh,
Thanks for letting us know about your problem. The easiest way for us to help you out will be for you to send us your files for us to test and take a look at. Please send an email to me at kevin@fortiusone.com with the 4 files attached. I can then test them out, see what problems are occurring, and hopefully find a solution for you.
Thanks again,
Kevin
