A comment on the question "Song ratings didn't carry over into Songbird. Help?" in Songbird:
I tried this. Everything looked good until I was done and went to the main library screen. There were two of every song - one rated, one not. I could not figure out how to get rid of the unrated songs. I was worried that if I removed them, they would be deleted from the disk.
To recover, I used the profile manager but now I'm back to no ratings.
