can we please get auto-tagging for imported items?
yay! tags are here! i'm so happy - i even cried a little. but, now that you guys have teh uber leet tagging system in place, could you add a way to automatically tag stuff that gets imported into soup? i.e. turn twitter hashtags into soup tags (i think you already do that for flickr?)

This is literally the one thing that has kept me from buying Tweetie so far - my Dock real estate is very precious (and overcrowded), and Tweetie is perfect for living in the menubar.

I agree that this is a matter of personal taste, and should be an option, but.. I really really want this :)

For some possible inspiration on how to solve the "no menu" problem, look at LaunchBar - when you disable the Dock icon, you get a one-time message that warns you about what this means, and tells you how to undo it.
