When is the Pearl Flip 8220/8230 going to be supported?I'm wondering if there is any news on when the Pearl/Pearl Flip will be supported. I'm going to be buying a new phone soon, and while I like the Curve 8900 a lot (on paper), I may only be able to afford the Pearl 8220, so you can kind of see where I'm going with this.-

Can't sign up for preview version with FireFoxI'm running Mac OS X with FireFox 3 and I couldn't sign up for the preview with the browser. Until someone pointed out where the sign-up form was supposed to be, and I checked it out in Safari, I didn't even know where to look.

I actually tried using that format just the other day, but I didn't get any results. I tried using both SMS and e-mail. – Kichigai, on November 24, 2008 18:55

Trailing parenthesis parsed as part of a linkURLs with trailing parenthesis, like Ping.FM shortened URLs, are being parsed. That is, (http://ping.fm/O7weI) will have that last ) made into part of the href.

Checking in with GPS coordinates no longer worksI can no longer check in with GPS coordinates via E-mail or SMS. I just don't get checked in at all. This is a major inconvenience, as most of the locations I visit are on campus and don't have street addresses.
It seems that this doesn't affect, however, GPS coordinates referenced by placemark seem to work just fine.
A comment on the idea "Use the image API of capable services" in Ping.fm:
Cool. I was worried that it was something that was on the order of "neigh on impossible" until other things had been done, or that the APIs were so complex they weren't worth messing with (at this point). Thanks! – Kichigai, on October 25, 2008 15:47

Use the image API of capable servicesI use a few services that have native support for images, notably Pownce and BrightKite. Speaking as a user of those services, it's rather annoying to have to follow a link to an image when I otherwise wouldn't have to. So why not use their image APIs when possible? Or are these APIs not as robust as I believe them to be?

Include a PasteBin-style auxiliary entry box along with a screenshot upload box?Why not include an extra box specifically for pasting errors or log dumps so I can upload it to the company without having to clutter up their threads? And why not a feature to allow me to upload screenshots of service failures for system debugging?
