What Do These Changes Mean For End-Users?What do these new tools mean for end-users (that is, people who are dealing with companies using these tools)? Speaking as one, I'm wondering what does this mean for me. Do I get new toys to use (like some kind of pastebin for error messages? Upload options for system failure screenshots?) or is it purely for the organization's use?

Plans for recruiting users? So here's the story: I've got an iPod Touch and a Nokia N73. I love my N73 to bits, but the iTouch has Twinkle. Twinkle's got a lot more local users than BrightKite (and it seems more users in general), and that's got me a little disappointed because I'm going through all the effort of checking into places in the vain attempt to find someone nearby (it's like using Nokia Sensor: no one uses it). I'll find users in major metropolitan areas, but out here, nothing. If I use Twinkle on my iTouch, however, I'll find lots of people in a 20 mile radius, and even a decent number in 10 or 5 miles even, but 0 for BrightKite.
So what's the plan to make the service more appealing to users of other services like Twibble or Twinkle? Because I hate to say it, but as an active user, I'm quite disheartened to be putting all this effort into the service and getting nothing out of it (any more).
I mean, you could say the new iPod Touch/iPhone app is going to win over some users, but the problem is that there's a larger barrier of entry for them. They have to get an invite, then start using the app, set up placemarks, check-in, where as Twinkle it's all done for them. Plus, lots of people have regulars in their Twinkle radius they're used to interacting with, people they may have to give up if they switch from Twinkle.
Any plans for this?

BrightKite iPod Touch App is awesomeThe BrightKite iPod Touch app is amazing. I wish it had been around sooner, but good things come to those who wait. It's a pity the App Store is screwing up on me though. Just bought it, installed it, tested it, loved it, but they haven't registered my "purchase" yet so I can't submit a review in the App Store. Either way, I love it... now if only there was a version for my N73, I'd be even happier.
A comment on the question "Viewing multiple accounts" in Seesmic:
Do you know if there will be an integrated messages view (IE: all services are shown together) similar to how Adium/Pidgin/Digsby shows different people on different IM systems? – Kichigai, on October 18, 2008 15:04-
