Why isn't Nokia Maps 2.0 available for the N73?

I'm wondering why Nokia hasn't made Nokia Maps 2.0 available for the N73 (and other phones)? From what I've seen of it, it doesn't look like it has any new features that would push the N73 beyond its limits.

Well, to be honest, all the resources for a BYO solution exist, all I need is a URL for where ever I am. @photoblogger I think that's how it's SUPPOSED to be, but apparently my phone's not doing that for some reason. I, personally, don't mind the files not being deleted (saves me the trouble of having to download them), I'd just rather see them on my memory card ;) Of course, it's a little odd, seeing as Qik actuall made folders on my card.

It might have something to do with H.263 and/or AMR codecs. I know Windows lacks those codecs by default. And unless you have FFMPEG or some project using it (like MPlayer) installed in Linux you're likely missing H.263. You'll have to find the library for AMR too, but that should be a separate library that you'll either have to compile or download via your favorite package manager (apt).

That covers 3GP. As far as FLV goes, I'm guessing it's lack of support for the container, if not the codecs too.

4.1 Apple provides no real "push notification service." It just added support for their own MobileMe servicers (formerly .Mac) and Exchange, which all had existing infrastructures. BrightKite would probably have to build one from scratch.

Given how easy it is to check in a locations, perhaps partnering with GasBuddy to allow people to report gas prices at checked-in locations, or look up nearby gas prices. Granted, it doesn't sound too easy to do on the back-end of business, but it certainly would benefit both services.

This sounds awesome. I think, though, this could go a little further than just by building. I know it wouldn't be the easiest thing to implement, but what about specific offices too? I work at the college TV station and I'd love to be able to let people know I'm in the office via noting it's the station's office, not just the building. But hey, if I can tell BrightKite I'm in Bozorth instead of Savitz, I'm a happy man.

Just wondering where the Facebook App we were promised is. I remember Qik used to have an invite-only Facebook group, and when I asked to join it I was informed the group was being dissolved in favor of an application. Any updates on this?

How do I configure Qik so that it doesn't store video on handset memory, but rather on my storage card (which has a lot more storage)? The reason I ask is that my N73 has precious little storage, and Qik just devours it, leading to stream interruption, system crashes, and many errors requiring me to manually clean up the mess.
