I mistyped my password once too often and was locked out; I can't contact anyone to fix the problem, and the account email address sends nothing in return... even a simple acknowledgement that the email has been received would go a long way toward fixing the issue.

Thanks Laura. I found some response, unfortunately it only said I had too many tracks in the check out folder, but that's not the case, it happens with just one track in there. If there's any way you could take a look at my account I'd be very appreciative. Also tried the instant download mode with a credit card and that fails too unfortunately. – Chris Kelly, on June 05, 2008 09:41

Makes sense. But it also seems like a good opportunity to provide users with some information in the form of an auto-reply; some sort of guidance, since in the absence of clear support guidance some people are likely to send Hail Marys to support@. Ugh! It sounds like you went through a lot, so I can totally understand why you are frustrated. We are actually going to be changing the way that we do our surveys from now on due to some comments that we got, yours included. If you want to send me your username I'd like to drop a few credits in your account for taking the survey. I could also re-instate your old account if you'd like...

It's nice to see there's some Beatport representation on this site. I also had problems with my Beatport account, went through rounds of emailing resetpassword@, with most of my emails going unanswered and without the problem ever being resolved. I ended up creating a new account with a different email address. It was horrible customer experience, but I was still willing to shop.

After my experience with the customer survey today though, I'll be trying some of the other services listed in this thread.

I promise we aren't ignoring you! Are you trying to use the support@beatport.com email address? If so, that might be why you aren't getting a response. That email address is actually not in service any more. Try the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the site, or you can email me directly (laura.debruin@beatport.com). I'd be more than happy to take a look at your account and see what I can do to solve any problems you are having.

Well I've tried contacting Beatport on several occasions with no reply. I can't purchase any tracks from my account. All that comes up is the gateway fraud message. I've turned off the automatic purchase mode, there's not too many tracks in the check out basket at one time and all my cards are working fine. Plus I've tried the account on different machines and internet connections... no go!.

After spending almost £1000 on Beatport personally I expect better customer service than just being completely ignored.

I've ended up using www.Juno.co.uk instead. No problems there at all.
