A comment on the question "Hi guys, Any updates on the FAQ's? Thanks" in Social Mention:
Yes, a more elaborate FAQ would be nice. You promised one such FAQ 4 months ago:

Thanks for letting us know Brendan. We've gotten a few inquiries regarding this algorithm. We'll be implementing an FAQ to answer many of these questions. However, Social Rank is based on an equation that weights heavily on recency and frequency of posts. – Kim M., on June 12, 2009 13:20

Thank you for taking the time to investigate. I'm wiser now, and I do care about the other features you offer :-) Hope they'll just get better and better...
However, for the record I'd like to say that in my query I didn't require "The Dalmore" just "Dalmore", and your results aren't 100% on topic either, but then I wouldn't expect that - not from anybody.
I've had a look at your videos, and they are OK.
Kim M. asked a question in Scout Labs on April 01, 2009 11:03:
socialmention.com oomphier than Scoutlabs?Hi!
I've made a search called "The Dalmore". It's a brand of scotch. This search comes up with only 5 hits for the past 6 months.
Keywords:
- dalmore (Required)
- whisky OR whiskey OR scotch (Relevant)
- cigar malt (Relevant)
- single malt (Relevant)
The curious thing is that a similar search on socialmention.com [dalmore +whisky OR whiskey OR scotch] produces 47 hits, which all seem relevant - and almost all of them are in English.
I'd be very pleased if you'd explain the difference to me.
If possible, I'd like some extra background documentation about how Scoutlabs actually work, please.
Thank you very much :-)
