Kim Fenolio asked a question in Ping.fm on September 08, 2008 13:14:
Privacy Options with Ping.fm and the new My MediaRecently in order to access "My Media" I've had to add a username for my display name to work. Now my images are accessed through an easily remembered URL. The problem now is that all of the services I post to are protected accounts and honestly I would like to continue to keep it that way.
Even though all I see being displayed publicly are the photos and any comments that may have been made, I still don't want them publicly available. I'm unable to find an option to make my Ping.fm media timeline private.
1) Is this an option yet and if so, where would I find it?
2) If it's not an option yet, is it being looked into?
Temporary solution has been to change the username to something unrelated or random.

I understand your concerns. I'll share with you an easier way to adjust your friends list as well as how to access yourself on Plurk mobile.
Click on "My Friends" in the upper left of your browser to bring up your friends list. You can click "timeline follow" to OFF and not have to go to individual friend pages. That doesn't fix their glitch though, but makes the long issue of going friend page to friend page a bit easier for you right now.
It is indeed possible to see just your own timeline on Plurk mobile by going to: http://www.plurk.com/m/u/USERNAME
So yours would be http://www.plurk.com/m/u/gspn/
(Tip to remember: in the URL the m=mobile and the u=username)

Alright, I spoke to soon. Going in to turn "timeline follow" on, then off again will get rid of all the old updates (if I turn them on, I see a double timeline from this user) but I'll still see this user's new updates. I can keep doing this with each update they post and their updates will fall out of my timeline but any new updates they make after that still squeak through. Basically, I get rid of the past but anything in the future will still be seen.
Could it be that there are glitches with certain user accounts that were created.. say on a specific day or time? Would it be helpful if we gave you the user accounts that we're having trouble with, Amir?
