A comment on the question "Pro Subscriber wanting to customize blog but don't really know where to start - suggested articles?" in Six Apart:
Nope not that they are too high, but completely unrelated to TypePad. Sounds like you are looking for help in creating web images. TypePad allows you to upload images already created, but it's not a platform for helping you create images. Most people use Photoshop or another like service for that. Hope that makes sense. – Kimmie Nguyen, on November 20, 2009 20:03

You will need to contact TypePad support in order to do that: http://www.sixapart.com/about/contact...

Our articles are specific to the customizations that you can do with a TypePad blog, ie. sizing of banners, moving columns around on the blog, changing colors on themes, etc. You probably won't find general web design help. Your best bet would be to look through the Get Satisfaction community for tips and tricks or searching Google for help on creating custom banner images. – Kimmie Nguyen, on November 20, 2009 19:42

Not sure what you mean here, did you want your profile changed from using OpenID to using a regular sign-in? You can login to typepad.com and add your regular email account: http://www.typepad.com/account.

No, Chroma does not currently support widgets/embedHTML. Every theme has its own set of 'content' that is supported. When you switch to it, you only get what's available for that theme. If you love the look of Chroma, stay tuned to http://everything.typepad.com as we plan to make updates to it in the comihng weeks. In the meantime, I suggest using another theme. Mosaic is rather nice and you can also upload your own banner to it.

Hi,
I'm still not understanding the issue, can you provide more info? Are you using one of the themes that TypePad has provided? If so, you can login to http://www.typepad.com/t/app and check under Blog > Design > Content to choose which widgets to add.

Susan,
Looks like Andy already opened a Support ticket on your behalf. It's best to open a Help ticket when issues look to be like bugs rather than a general how-to-item. GetSatisfaction is a community forum for sharing ideas with other members & employees, showcasing hacks and providing support to users who are having trouble setting up or customizing their blogs. But direct tech support comes from the Help ticketing system because the Support team has the ability to access your blog and investigate further, whereas other employees and members do not.
Thanks,
Kimmie

Awesome. :) It's likely that you will see this from time to time because that's the nature of having two platforms sending data across to one another. Keeping technology running smoothly is not an easy task, even harder when it's the connections between technologies. And even the biggest companies can sometimes have a bad day, a fine example being Google's downtime earlier this year: http://www.searchenginejournal.com/go.... Generally when it's a feature failure, you will be able to consistently reproduce the problem. But in your case, republishing the post shared it with Facebook.
Happy blogging and sharing!
A comment on the problem "Posts are not shared with Facebook" in Six Apart:
Two posts is still more than zero, welcome to blogging! Have you tried republishing to Facebook? You can do that by editing the post, ticking the 'facebook' checkbox and publishing the post again. I want to confirm that it's definitely not related to your post itself. – Kimmie Nguyen, on October 29, 2009 22:25

Albert,
Sorry to hear you are having issues again. We've made no changes on our end so things should be working accordingly. Are you still posting from draft and then publishing at a later time via the Compose screen? Have you tried to re-publish these posts and do they show up on Facebook now? I share to Facebook as well and have not seen any recent issues nor have I seen other reports of posts being dropped. But I'll double check in the ticketing system to be sure.
It's important to remember that there is a delay between the moment TypePad shares the post and when Facebook processes and displays it. Given that situation, if anything arises on Facebook's end during that time, posts could be dropped. This should not be a common problem but that's not to say it won't happen from time to time.
