Kirk Kerekes replied on August 19, 2009 09:35 to the problem "Odd meaning for "local"" in Milo.com:
Patently that ought to be a user setting, with a reasonable default of 50 mi or so.
What is reasonable in one metro area is silly in another, however.
As an extension of this, perhaps Milo could break new ground and express distance as drive-time minutes -- more useful information for most folks. I don't know if publicly available routing APIs will let you do this, but it would certainly be an improvement over simple distance ratings (which in most cases seem to be useless map distances anyway, instead of driving distances ).

Odd meaning for "local""local" to me doesn't mean a plane-ride away. There is no Fry's in the entire state, but you consider it "local" to Tulsa.
