I would love some simple integration similar to how Brightkite handles it.

Short answer: Absolutely!

Long answer: If you actually have something more specific in mind than "somehow", you should check out the tools, apps and mashups listed on the community wikis for both of the applications. If you can't find what you're looking for there, both services have excellent APIs that are well documented. With a little skill, you can make anything you like.
