Info regarding iPhone sync app & idea for push notificationI would like to get some more info on the iPhone sync app that you have made available, before I start using it. Primarily, I would be interested in learning how I should set up other sync options on my iPhone. I currently use the Gmail/Exchange push sync. Should that be turned off? (I have Gmail hooked up with Soocial)
If it needs to be turned off (which I assume), I would like to suggest a push alert feature, which on a regular basis (configurable, every hour, day, week), pushes alerts and/or badge updates to my iPhone, notifying me that I should sync my addressbook. With such a feature in place, I don't mind loosing the "real-time push sync" from Gmail/Exchange. A couple of taps would make the address book updated anyway.

KMK replied on September 29, 2009 07:14 to the problem "Lost line feeds in Google Contacts" in Soocial:
Hi Bart,
Thanks for the feedback. I have looked around, and it seems it was only a couple of contacts it had happened to, and I have (unfortunately) already corrected this.
But, I imagine that I have some update to the contact in Gmail, which has caused the removal? Currently, I cannot recreate it. If it happens again, I will mail you at the support address.
A question though - if other (Google) applications are updating or connecting to the Google Contacts, can you still keep track of them? I am currently using the new feature of Google's Picasa, to do facial recognition on my photos. It would be ashame if the link to the contacts where lost. How does this work with Google?
KMK reported a problem in Soocial on September 28, 2009 07:40:
Lost line feeds in Google ContactsIt seems that line feeds have gone missing in the sync with Google Contacts.
I am unsure where the error originates from. When I check Microsoft Live/Hotmail, only the street address is there, but none of the details regarding city, etc.
When finally checking Soocial, it seems that the contact fields have been mixed-up (again), and that City has been moved to the PO box field, etc.
Would it be possible to add some feature to secure that field mapping is done correctly after an initial clean-up? Prehaps a way to "lock" the data (the whole record or particular fields), and only be able to update it from the Soocial interface? I know that this is sort of against the idea of Soocial, but for some connections it would make sense, especially if one could lock particular fields.
I guess the bad actor in this drama is the open format address field of Google's, but I am not sure...

You can already (although it could be made part of the process when searching for tracks, etc.)
In the Playlist view, click the Edit button (top left). On the Edit Playlist screen you have a '+'-button on the top right, which you can use to create playlists.
The new playlist is (of course) synced with your Spotify-account.
