first, even if they know about the artists you're listening and about your playlists you listen to most of the time. they simply can't know if you're interested or not on a specific artist.
for ex, I mostly listen to 60s 70s rock, some "emo", jazz, oldies n I tried some japanese elctro.
but as I don't listen to mainstream I do like some of them. equally I sometimes get the urge to listen to some classical...how can they know what add to choose? even if you're the kind of people who's listening to Metalcore 99.9 % of the time you may be a Robbie wiliams future fan as well... they simply can't know it.
You may as well like all the similar artists and for you robbie may be some kind of Gay-ish icon you execrate? who knows?
you may be a all for guitar heroes... and fall in love with Herbie Hancock blues as well even if he's the only pianist you like on earth and you only listen to him one track every month as it's only a weak influence for you?
They can't know even if they have some statistical data about your habits.
kotatsuk reported a problem in Spotify on November 12, 2009 21:00:
invite never been mailed...or lost in the process?I just sent an invite to a friend of mine, and she never received it. She checked in the mail box, the spam folder and all subfolders including the trash, nothing.
I checked the email adress I put in the spotify "share" page it's the good one (an @hotmail.fr adress to be specific).
so I tested with my own google email and it worked perfectly.
I tested then with my msn.com ditto...
I then tested my laposte.net account, it appeared in junk mail.
Strange issue as I tested and everything seems fine?
to resolve the problem I directly gave her the token and the web adress where to use it through messenger, not sure she used it yet as on my 'Share' page there's no notice if she actually used the invite.
