Angela01 replied on November 24, 2008 17:00 to the idea "You've been blocked by this user message" in Twitter:
I think the everyday, really into Twitter people know that when it came up "Something Went Wrong" we knew that we were blocked... and moved on.
The people I mostly block are people that every post is a link to some "great" website. Or people that use language that I don't find funny. I don't want them to follow me, read my Tweets, and reply back to me.
I'm not saying go back to the, "Something Went Wrong" statement. I just think when people see. "The User you are trying to follow has blocked you" puts a bad taste in their mouth. Now me, I don't care. But the remarks back to me about me blocking them is getting out of hand.
Maybe it should say something like, "At this time you cannot follow this person." It's not saying there is a "bug" and something in wrong. And it could be that you may unblock them.
I don't know. I thought I would put it out on here and see what people thought.

You've been blocked by this user messageBefore when you blocked someone and they tried to follow you, they would receive a message saying, "Something is Wrong please try again later." Now (over the last week or so) when I have blocked someone, and they have tried to add me it tells them that I have blocked them.
I'm sure there is a reason why this was changed, but now that people know that I have blocked them, they are doing a lot of nasty "@" messages to me. I know it is just childish on their part, but I had (good) reasons to block them.
That is why I kinda liked the older way, because if I had blocked someone and they tried to add me they would just "@" me and say "I can't add you, something went wrong." Instead of the nasty, "Who do you think you are... Burn in ****, **** You". Yeah there are some nasty Twitters out there!-

Where is the block user linkI like to block the spammers before they follow me. Before there use to be a block user link where I could block them. Now it's gone!-

A tab/ Group for your "favorite" followingIt would be nice to put some of the people I am following on a separate tab. I am following about 50 people, and while I try to read my twitter a few times a day, I can't. Well if all 50 of my people make 5 posts a day, that's 250 posts I have to read through. It would be nice if I could put my "favorites" on a different group/tab so I make sure I don't miss any of their posts, and I can browse through my other followers.-
