A comment on the problem "Users not getting invite emails form PBwiki 2.0" in PBwiki:
I've been trying to replicate this myself with multiple of my own addresses, but I've gotten one for every wiki I am invited to. Those users who aren't sent invitations, does the wiki at least show up in their wiki panel on http://my.pbwiki.com ? – Vu Nguyen, on April 25, 2008 00:03

Do you know if this has been fixed, the fact that email invites are not being sent? I was invited to a couple wikis and never got invites. (PBwiki 2.0) I did some tests and determined that users that had accounts already were not invited to see the wiki in question. Only users without PBwiki accounts get the email. – Kevin, on April 24, 2008 19:44

My user wrote: Thanks for the invite. I've tried to log in, it say my account request is "pending"...
I asked to see the invite message, so he tried again, and then wrote: Apparently the confirmation e-mail never got sent by the system. When I asked for the message to be sent again, it appeared this time. I'm in now.

A couple users both here and in our main support system are saying the same things, and we are in the midsts of figuring out why these emails are either lagged or missing altogether. For now, something you can do to get these folks started is to have them create accounts at http://my.pbwiki.com using the email address you added. Once they log in with that account, they should be able to access your wiki.
Sorry for the trouble!

I took a look at this again and it does appear that users will begin receiving notifications as soon as they are added. They must then cancel notifications altogether through the email (there is a link at the bottom), or change their notifications in their personal settings at http://my.pbwiki.com
I have filed a feature request for waiting for users to log on before sending them notifications, ticket #659. Thanks for using PBwiki!

I think that the current mechanism is that when people are invited, they are added to the list of users for that wiki immediately ("confirmed users" by virtue of being added by an administrator), so they will start getting notifications as soon as you add them.
Although you raise a good point about when they should start getting those notifications. I'm going to try it right now to see if this is indeed what is happening.

I am having a similar problem. I set up the wiki and then invited my boss and the head of our HR department. They got the invites just fine. But when they sent the invites, the targeted recipients didn't get them... Help... Please...
They are all showing in the admin area. And the person sending the invites is setup as an admin too.
Thanks,
