KrissyMo replied on May 18, 2009 23:40 to the question "Why don't Education Premium users get Doc Import Feature?" in PBwiki:
Hey Tim and Steve,
Thanks for your feedback. Our business product does have a few very distinct differences from the product we offer to educators. As PBworks evolves, we're making tough decisions on which features would fit for our rather large and diverse userbase.
We're continuing to look at document import (it's been out two weeks) to see how folks are using it and if it would work on the edu product.
We'll update this thread when we make a decision.

Now-
Wait for Kristine to catch her breath, finish the badges, email the people who signed up for twitter, email the folks who asked for Professional Development certificates, finish scoping out the future edu site where all this info is held.
It's all in the works -- sorry it's taking so long, there's a lot that's happening behind the scenes that's not finished yet.

Hey TTT --
No i don't have a stake in the company! Discussions are hard on a wiki -- and while we are getting our forums up and running, I chose to use this.

KrissyMo asked a question in PBwiki on August 18, 2008 22:08:
What information on your wiki should be cited using Footnotes? It is incredibly easy to cut and paste information from one site to another. When should we as teachers begin to insist that information is cited and how do we check to make sure?

Users can request access on a Public or private wiki -- on a public wiki they just need to click edit and they are prompted to request access. – KrissyMo, on August 14, 2008 15:11

KrissyMo asked a question in PBwiki on August 12, 2008 19:28:
Best Practice for setting up a Classroom Account?I'd like to be able to use student's real names (so I can monitor their work and know who's doing what without having to constantly be looking up account names on a list) but my district doesn't permit full student names to be posted on public sites.
I could use first name and last initial as the student name but are they any other ideas?

You can access it forever! I have to think about the presentation nature of the final exam. I do want other campers to view and vet each others work. – KrissyMo, on July 29, 2008 01:07
