Kristian Hennings started following the question "How does pbwiki define "regular commercial usage"? How do I know if I need to register and/or upgrade?" in PBwiki.

It's an educational wiki, and it would be great if the share this box can be removed, as the wiki has to be 100% closed to outsiders. The users should know this but better not tempt them :o)
I've read a bit about css but never actually used it.
Thanks for your help, I hope I'll be able to return the favor some time in the future.

Thanks for your help. My lab is still getting used to using a wiki and it is therefore very important that it is a stable version we are using without bugs, as otherwise they may cause my users to choose not to use the wiki. Is it possible to create a free wiki and have it in version 2.0 so I can try it out personally without affecting my users? Last time I created a wiki I did not see a choice between version 1 and 2 in the creation process.
I'm considering to remove the SideBar all together and then use the Main Page as a kind of navigational Sideber, so from a page the user will click on the Home tab then choose what task to do. It adds a time lag (the loading of the main page) but I think for now it could be acceptable.
best regards,
Kristian

Kristian Hennings asked a question in PBwiki on March 05, 2008 17:32:
Customizing the SideBar so it spans the entire height of the pageWhile we are really happy about pbwiki there is one thing in particular that is causing us major problems and that is the SideBar!
In our wiki we have a lot of tables, list of documents, data, etc. and depending on the screen resolution this is either displayed in the top of the page or it gets pushed down below the sidebar. In really grim situations on some of our computers the screen resolution makes the sidebar so long that the content of the page (table) get pushed out of the view, which confuses some people so they think the page is empty. Also even if you set the width of the table in percent it seams to be of the text area and it does not account for the sidebar.
A really nice and potentially beautiful solution would be if the web page could have two columns one for the main text area (on the left) and the sidebar spanning the full height of a text area on the right. For an example (if this description is not clear enough) please see my public webpage:

My subjective oppinion/guess is that this would also make the pages look much nicer and more uniform across different computers. Is this possible in pbwiki? Help will be really appreciated, thanks in advance.

P. S. It would be nice if it can be done without css but if not so be it! I guess we'll have to learn it sooner or later.
