Kristi Colvin replied on December 21, 2008 16:08 to the question "Shut down @KirtsyNews for Brand-Hijacking/Porn!!" in Twitter:
Kirtsy themselves posted a tweet and said they did NOT own KirtsyNews and apologized for the porn tweets: "Dear Everyone, We are *SO* sorry for the porn tweets that went out tonight. @kirtsynews is not actually owned by kirtsy. Trying to fix :( 11:18 PM Dec 12th from web"
I also have DM's from two of the women who run Kirtsy talking about trying to get KirtsyNews shut down.
KirtsyNews just posted something else about Amy Winehouse topless. This is quite a little racket they have going on here. But when will they be stopped, at least from tweeting this stuff out?
I might point out also, KirtsyNews is aware of the damage being done to the Kirtsy brand as I type this - they could change their Twitter password, alter the bio, say who they really are, change the account name and stop the feed from coming in. They are obviously NOT fans of Kirtsy or they wouldn't allow this to continue.
A comment on the question "Shut down @KirtsyNews for Brand-Hijacking/Porn!!" in Twitter:
But you're still confusing the two, which is the crux of this issue. KIrtsyNews is NOT Kirtsy. They did not set up the account and feed stories into Twitter, or set up the bio/link/avatar/background. They did not acknowledge the issue in that statement, the imposter did. Yet anytime someone wants to mess with the Kirtsy site it is going out to over 4,000 people as if it's sent from Kirtsy. – Kristi Colvin, on December 21, 2008 15:58

Shut down @KirtsyNews for Brand-Hijacking/Porn!!http://twitter.com/KirtsyNews is someone who has PRESENTED themselves as @Kirtsy. but they are not. They are sending out XXX tweets left and right, for days now, and claim someone else has hacked the account to do it. In the meantime, because you will not shut @KirtsyNews down, the Kirtsy brand is taking the hit. @KirtsyNews has more followers than the original @Kirtsy account does, because everything about the presentation/bio/avatar/account name indicates they are the company!!!! This is a clear-cut case of brand hijacking and I have been told @Kirtsy has contacted support about this. WHEN will you be shutting down @KirtsyNews and what do you intend to do about the hit on Kirtsy's reputation for leaving them up all this time???
Please turn over the @KirtsyNews account and ALL the followers to the @Kirtsy company. This is a BIG problem and must be addressed today. The Kirtsy people are good people who actively promote Twitter in positive ways. They don't deserve to be ignored and have their brand trashed by some fools.

please cancel pending company accountI just opened a company account for Twitterface, and need it cancelled. It is really a product, but I didn't know if I would be able to add logo, etc. later for products (as no one would recognize our company name.) Sigh..... can this account PLEASE be dumped, so I can open the actual company account and then add it as a product? Thanks for your help.

Yes, this display is unacceptable. Don't be stressed - your users just need to understand (many of them who work on software themselves, obviously!) that we can't always easily DO what we'd like to do. Comic Sans will continue to work fine until there is a better solution that can practically (and without an excess of expense) be implemented.
Kristi Colvin replied on October 10, 2008 12:22 to the discussion "The Font Saga Continues: I need your input!" in Balsamiq:
The new font is nice, but the old font looks "rougher." From the aspect of "leaving no customer behind", I think you might want to add additional font options, not take away what (some) people are used to now. It seems like designers are more irritated by this than developers... I don't know what it would do to existing/old mockups to change the font suddenly. My vote is add it but don't delete Comic Sans.-

Kristi Colvin asked a question in Twitter on September 19, 2008 01:54:
I want my old interface backI absolutely hate the new interface. As an interface designer, I find it far less appealing than the simplistic beauty of the old design. The tabs at the top of the page kept things organized and streamlined - the new sidebar looks "junky" by comparison. I would have been quite happy if you had never changed the interface - I literally went to dinner, came home and my Twitter experience has been ruined. When trying to change the sidebar color from the white I preferred to something that would diminish the junky appearance, the system decided to dump my background image. The themes are totally obtrusive for someone who has a custom-branded design already in place. Bad, bad, bad design decisions made to users like me who loved the interface as it was (in fact, boasted about its simplicity to clients and used it as a role model.) I have to go fix my freaking background now. The only thing this redesign has ensured is that I will want to use Twitter less.

My problem is, I need to run this software on my Mac, but the user I'm observing may have a PC. I'm not sure how to resolve this problem, but I have a serious need to do remote testing of a web-based application in the next month or two. If anyone has a solution aside from Morae, which is a bit more than budget/need allows, please email me!-

I am playing with the software and have similar problems, Peldi. I'm on a Mac but not in front of it and don't know the hardware specs. The problem for people like me, who are used to designing in Illustrator, is that I want the drag/drop and copy/paste and scooching of things one pixel this way or that, to happen without delay. I get this "hang" feeling and it makes me nuts. I think this software is seriously valuable and so I don't want to have the negative feelings I have when trying to make a mockup. I was creating a real one for my review the other day, but actually had to give up because it was making me want to pull my hair out.
