Hi Blake,
Thanks for the additional detail. QA spent some trying to reproduce the issue you are having to no avail. It sounds like something may be wrong with your installation of the game.
Can you please try the following
1. Delete the application from your device and reinstall from iTunes.
2. Delete the application from iTunes and then download again from the App Store (You will be asked to "Buy" again, but you won't be charged twice.)
If neither of the above work, I suggest restoring your phone through iTunes. (Back it up before you do that.)
Unfortunately, these steps will not restore your saved games, we apologize that this happened to you. We hope that these steps will keep the issue from occurring for future updates.

Thanks for letting us know about this issue. Can you provide me more information so we can troubleshoot this issue?
Did you upgrade from Rolando 1.0 to 1.2 or from 1.1 to 1.2?
What device are you playing on? (3G phone, first gen iPod Touch, etc)
Did you download the update through your device or through iTunes on your computer?
Are you having any similar issues with other applications?

If you delete the app from your iTunes on your computer, you can re-download it from the App Store again for free. I recommend that you delete the app from your iTunes and your phone and then re-download from the App Store. It's possible that your original download got corrupted. It will ask you if you want to "buy" the app again, but you won't be charged a second time.

Thanks for your feedback! As you know all the ngmoco games released so far have been localized into German (and other languages). That's our usual plan.
We are investigating the best options for providing users like yourself with the best Word Fu experience in German, French and Spanish. Given that this is a word game, it has unique considerations with regards to translating. We want to ensure that non-English speaking users have as fun a game as the English version is. Currently, we think that the best way to do that is with separate versions.
We did update the Application description to note the additional versions. Thanks for the suggestion.

1.iPhoneを再起動して、ローランドを起動する。
2.iPhoneの言語設定メニューにて日本語以外の言語に設定した後、ローランド を起動する。アプリケーションの起動を確認したら終了し、言語設定を日本語に 戻した上で再度ローランドを起動する。
4.iPhoneからローランドをアンインストールし、iPhoneを再起動後ローランド の再インストールを行う。
5.iPhoneにインストールされているローランド及びiTunesにアプリケーション として保存されているローランドの両方を削除し、iTunes上のApp Storeにて ローランドを再度購入・ダウンロードする(再度課金される事はありません、ご 安心ください)。
6.iTunesにてiPhoneを初期状態に復元する。

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try all of the troubleshooting steps outlined below? One of these usually addresses the problem.
1) Restart your device.
2) Delete Topple from your device & then re-add from your iTunes library.
3) Delete Topple from your iTunes library & then download from App Store again
4) Go to Settings>General>Date&Time and turn "Set Automatically" to off.
5). Restore your device via the restore function in iTunes.
If either of you are willing to send me your device logs, please do so before you restore your phone in step 5. You can email them to me at support@ngmoco.com.
Follow these instructions to device logs.
- Run this app - iPhone Configuration Utility: http://www.apple...com/support/iphone/enterprise/
- Click the device, go over to console, make it crash, hit "Reload" then copy all the log entries and send to me via email.
