TV shows identified as movies

The indexer routinely identifies TV shows as movies. The biggest culprit are shows like the Daily Show and Colbert report. This is not a huge problem except it is almost impossible to correct.

Attempting to manual correct it (Read More -> Wrong Video? -> TV Show?) doesn't work - typing in the show name /episode number will pull up the show name, but clicking to apply it does not work correctly - it will bring up the throbber as if it is doing something, but then the throbber disappears and it has done nothing. In some cases it will appear to go through (Brings up the "Apply xxx to entire folder?" dialog), but the item remains in the movie list.

My other preference would be to simply remove them, but this process is very slow, as you are kicked back to the main menu after each item. A way to remove entire folders would be nice.

Another helpful item that would prevent this would be to change the "Video" option in Source management to "TV Shows" and "Movies".

Pretty self explanatory. If the mac display has gone to sleep, you have to go use the mouse or keyboard (or remote in) to wake the display.

It wouldn't be the boxee update, it would be the Launcher. If you go into the Launcher menu (in the AppleTV menu, not inside Boxee), and go under Updates, and update Launcher.

If you have the latest boxee/launcher versions, I feel like this shouldn't even be possible with the MultiFinder since it basically shuts down the AppleTV portion of the device.

I like that pressing the menu button on the apple remote will launch Boxee, but if the display has gone to sleep it will not wake it.

I would imagine it would be a simple fix since when Boxee is running it prevents the display from sleeping or the screensaver from starting.

CNN Video Lagging

When starting a CNN Video, the audio starts playing without the video. After about 5-10 seconds, the video starts and plays at warpspeed until it catches up with the audio.

I have this issue on the AppleTV, I tested it on 2 Macs and did not have the same problem.

I find it to be more amusing than aggravating actually :-)

Hulu episode list in Boxee is outdated

Often when browsing videos in Boxee, they show up in the list but when you go to view them it gives a "This Video is no longer available" message. Browsing on hulu.com does not list the episodes at all.

I came across this when viewing Family Guy, American Dad, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien episodes.

It may be impossible due to Sling Media's control over the box... and I guess a lot of people wouldn't see this as useful... but it is definitely something I would enjoy!

Are you using the latest build of Boxee? That was a known bug with an earlier release that was supposed to be fixed in the December 16th release.
