Seems like myspace does not have this problem. I am having the same problem as everyone else and maybe since there is no solution and no one hears back from facebook team, you should just set up an account through myspace and send messages to all of your friends to see you there. Seems like the only solution.

I changed my e-mail address via the security pages on Facebook, the next time I tried to log on it said my e-mail address was unregistered, this first happened 13 days ago. I recieved 1 e-mail asking me to verify that I was the owner of the account to which I replied. I have sent numerous friendly e-mails asking for an update for a fix on my account to which I have heard nothing.

I'm loathe to set up a new page & re-add all of my friends. I'm dissapointed that Facebook have not got back in touch with but i live in hope!!!

It was 2 weeks later but they eventually fixed it for me and reset my password and restored my email address to my FB.... It will happen but it seems the pattern is it's about 2 weeks.... Happy waiting to those haven't heard back yet... – Lauren Grace, on September 28, 2008 12:50

my friend created an account and she didnt have an email set up so she put mine in...now it has taken that one off my account and it was the only email address i had on there. i also didnt have my mobile number on there as someone else said u could use that. i have emailed fb and got the auto reply which i replied as it asked. this was 2 days ago....im lost without fb!!!

My girlfriend is having this exact same problem. She contacted Facebook and they sent her an e-mail asking her to reply to it to verify that she is the owner of the account. She did reply, but hasn't heard anything since and she has e-mailed them many times. I understand if they are having problems, but they should at least communicate with users who are having troubles!

It's been TWELVE DAYS and no one will help me with this exact problem! I tried to log on 12 days ago and it said invalid password/email so I tried to reset it, but it says my email is unregistered... I've sent 9 emails and no one will help me! But I'm still getting emails to my email address aying I have a comment or message! On my profile though no email address is listed so I don' think it's a hack issue! I just want my facebook back!

i feel that facebook isnt givin enough help and support. i really like facebook and its pretty important to me because i live away from home and can keep incontact with my friends n family but because i cant as someone has changed my password i cany get in to it..... im really not impressed at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey, they contacted me and resetted my password. I got my facebook back. just needs a little patience i quess...

I have been waiting for their reply for about 12 days and I wonder whether they will reply or not ???? I'm so annoyed if i know they'r gonna turn me back I'll wait for ages!!!

I'm having the same issue as everyone else here, I'm not sure what caused it, but whatever it was, I am hosed. I still get messages from friends (that I of course cant read) so I know the email address is indeed registered, but when I try to reset the password it says it isn't registered. Due to sheer frustration from hearing no reply at all for a week, I tried recreating the account and it looks like it works but never sends the confirmation email. Pretty Annoying, I suppose so... I have other words for this fiasco but I'll keep them to myself.

Has anyone else had success with this problem recently? I updated my account to include a new email address and now it is listing my original email address and the new one as an unregistered email addresses. I have sent about 6 emails to FB since the problem occurred with no response. Pretty annoying...

I have the same problem as the others. I changed my e mail adress 10 days ago and i got a confirmation mail about changing email adress then i confirmed but when i try to login it says wrong password or email combination but i'm sure that i typed my correct password! then when i try to reset my password with both of my new and old email adress it says my email adress is unregistered. I sent mail to FB and then i got an auto reply once but later they didn't even send auto reply when i sent FB mail about my problem.i sent numerous mails to FB for 10 days. My acount is still active because my friends in my list can go on my page. I really need my account back because there is no way that I'm going to create another account and add all those people on again. What should i do please help me about this.. What kind of mail should i send to FB? Should i write my password too when i try to explain my problem?? İt is really frustrating...

Hi there. Same as I told daina above. It seems the only course of action is to email Facebook and explain your situation. Give them all your original log-in details. Unfortunately, it seems your best course of action is to email them, be persistent but polite, provide as much information about your account and situation as possible and then wait.
