Judy - if you're still having trouble, I discovered my problem was that twitter created 2 identical accounts with my login -- see http://gsfn.us/t/pis where I explain how I fixed it.

I sent an email reply yesterday (10/19), but I suspect your system bounced it:
Sophie, thank-you for your prompt response to this complaint. FYI, I am having the same problem on two different computers, one is a laptop connecting wirelessly through my home router, and the other is a desktop hard-wired via ethernet to the campus network where I am employed. They're both behaving identically.
I am using Flock 2.5.2, installed on top of Windows XP.

After "forgetting" the account on my laptop at home, it would not list Facebook as a recognized account in the Accounts and Services sidebar, so it no longer appeared as a tab at the top of the People sidebar. Prior to "forgetting" the account, logging in and out of Facebook repeatedly just gave me the prompt at the top of the screen to log out and back in so that Flock could do its thing, and the people sidebar would say that I was not logged in to Facebook. I continued to get the log out and back in message after "forgetting" the account. FWIW, my Twitter updates show just fine in the People sidebar.
I would say that this is a new problem. I can't remember exactly, but I believe I used the People sidebar successfully last Monday or Tuesday (10/12 or 10/13) while I was online at work. ( If it wasn't last week, it was the end of the prior week.) I'm not sure if I used the sidebar after Tuesday, but I can't remember doing so. It seems to me that I recently installed an update to Flock, but I cannot remember whether that was before or after 10/12. I know I installed a number of extension updates on Friday or Saturday, 10/16 or 10/17. However, on my home computer, I disabled everything except adblock plus and weatherbug, and still had the problem after I rebooted and then restarted Flock. I first noticed the problem yesterday (10/18) when I opened Flock at home, but I have the exact same symptoms here at work today.
Regards,
Laurie
Added 10/20 - I also tested Flock on a MacBook yesterday, and it has the same problem.

OK - no thanks to TWITTER support, I've fixed my problem. Here's the thing, twitter created 2 accounts with my username, I don't know how. When I searched for my name, it came up twice. So, to fix the problem, I did the following:
1- Logged in, went to settings, and changed my username and email.
2- Logged in again, to original/duplicate account, and changed ~THAT~ username and email to something I didn't want. Also posted an update pointing to my desired user name and deleted the phone number that was connected to the account.
3- Logged back in to the first account under the new username, and changed the username and email back to the original settings. Re-input the phone number for the correct account.
Voila!
(I did a little testing first on an alternate account to verify that I wouldn't lose my followers or the people I am following by making the changes.)
Good luck, everyone!-

Anybody Home?!?!?Apparently, my settings problem doesn't matter to Twitter support - I've been waiting over a month for someone / anyone to respond :-(

Crystal, you posted on http://getsatisfaction.com/twitter/to... a year ago that there was a solution to a problem. I am one of several new twitterers who has this same problem now. Can you help us?
