Lachlan Hardy reported a problem in Soocial on January 22, 2009 08:11:
I get weird characters on my N95 after syncContact's names get weird block characters on my N95 (first version of) which makes them impossible to find in the Contacts menu.
The characters are gone when I try to edit them on my phone, so I can't remove them.
Deleting the contact on the phone, resetting Soocial's connection to the phone, and then syncing does not resolve the issue, so I'm blaming you guys ;)

PCAST protocol not supported by FirefoxIt works a treat in Safari but not in FF. Both browsers support ITPC for subscription, however.

Well, I also think it's kinda crazy that we think we have enough Twitter users or population to compare to "Europe, Asia, China and the Americas". ;) – Lachlan Hardy, on August 14, 2008 02:32

So, I have a couple of points:
- Biz forgot Australia in the original post. He's fixed that now. And I'm pretty sure he won't forget again after a fuss like this.
- I'm also not happy about the removal of DM SMS. That is officially a killer feature. I can take or leave pretty much every other aspect of Twitter (although the lack of XMPP is still virtually crippling from a development perspective).
- Like many, I'd be willing to pay for the privacy and convenience and instantaneity that SMS by Twitter proxy provides me.
- Australian telcos are notoriously bollocks. The likelihood that they're going to come to any kind of arrangement with Twitter in the near future is unlikely.

Messages without restrictions = spamThere doesn't seem to be a way of restricting who can send messages to me. Or changing notification of messages.
This means that folks I've not accepted on BrightKite can spam directly to my inbox. Kindly add both features.

Subscribing to Overheard would be cool!Hey folks! Great work on Overheard. It's a very cool integration.
To make it really useful for me, I'd love to be able to subscribe to the items. Receiving each new Overheard item in my feed reader and clicking on a link to take me directly to it in Overheard (or better yet, clicking to 'address in Get Satisfaction') would make me a very very happy camper - and get me using Overheard!
