I disagree that this image of the Xobni logo should have been suggested...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Xo... (the image in the infobox in the wikipedia article of the logo) shows, when you read the license boilerplate below the image, that the image is a fair use image. I'd prefer that Zemanta only suggest images that have free licenses. I hope that's why it didn't suggest it.
I agree that the article should have been suggested though...

I would like this too. Even better, let me suggest some keywords I want it to try to hone in on... sometimes the best picture is not one that woud be found under obvious keywords.
I like your formatting using span tags better than Blogger's native formatting so maybe even just let me give you a URL from Commons and you zemify it for me (generate the thumb, the span tags, the caption below etc)????-

I don't get those messages about Ooops...
I have continued to play with this and it seems to work sporadically. when I first reported it I thought it was "always works for the first link added, never for subsequent ones" but more data suggests that it's just sporadic. Sometimes (rarely) the first link doesn't work. Sometimes (maybe 30-40% of the time) a subsequent one does.
Since I am clicking to get the URL anyway (by following in a new tab) I always try it, what the heck, if it works I don't have to follow the link to get the URL and hand paste it.

Good deal!
To see the formatting as I suggest, see http://nonnotablenatterings.blogspot.... ... the Ouroboros image has a two line caption:
Ouroboros.
Image from Commons
and "image" goes to the image itself, while "Commons" goes to Commons' main page. I shifted it down in the body by hand, via copy/paste while in HTML mode
While I'm throwing out ideas, can you make it easier to add more than one image? In tomorrow's post I have two images but it was a bit of a struggle to get both in there.... I had to put one in, copy the HTML out, then put the other one in, and paste the HTML down lower in the body. Fortunately the floaty-ish tags you used in the spans mean the image stays nicely where you put it.
So how are you guys going to make any money? I see no ad revenue stream here :)

I mostly edit in compose mode, but switch to HTML when I am tweaking things (like pictures, or lists or whatever)
The suggested link item turns orange, yes (should have mentioned that, sorry), but no hyperlink is added. I don't write so much that scrolling up is hard :) and first occurance of the text is what is desired anyway (per WP standards :) ) ... I do remember to check that.
I think I'm pretty bog standard, other than a few minor style sheet tweaks to my layout, I don't use any blogger extensions. I do have a fair number of other Firefox extensions (chatzllla, flashgot, febe being the biggies) and firefox's internal popup blocker on, though.

Proper credit and captioning on imagesOn adding images... I love how easy it is to add new images to posts. But mostly I take images that are from Commons. These images get tagged as "Image from Wikipedia" instead of Commons. It may be nitpicking but if the Image URL points to commons.wikimedia.org it may be better to credit Commons instead...
Also another suggestion... maybe make the "image" in "image from mumble" link to the image page itself, and the "mumble" link to the front page of the site
Also, maybe give some control of the caption? (while I'm in there editing the raw HTML to fix that I could change other things around) Let me say what it is! maybe put the caption in a box or make the caption text italic or smaller or ? so that it's not confused with the body text (the way that the thumb parm on WP gives you a box)
Thanks... love this tool

Well.... again, it ABSOLUTELY may be a clue shortage at this end... but on draft, (this is for a post I plan to publish tomorrow, I am trying to see how long I can do a post every day... (grin) ) I had several links suggested, and when I clicked on the first one (after it was presented) it bluelinked the correct text. However none oft he REST of the links would get applied.
I tried Apply All as well.
Lar replied on April 05, 2008 21:16 to the question "how to use the suggested links button in Blogger under Firefox" in Zemanta:
I must be confused then, because when I click on a suggestion there is a drop down which shows a little symbol (the Wikipedia W for example) and a clickable link. I can follow the link to the WP entry or whatever but nothing is happening when I click on the drop down itself. Do I have to have the word highlighted as with regular Blogger linkification? Thanks for the prompt reply, this tool is really nifty.

how to use the suggested links button in Blogger under FirefoxHi,
So far I think this is awesome. But I'm not totally clear on how to use the "suggested links" button. Should I have the word highlighted in the blog text already? Suggested images works great, it puts an image at the top of the posting. I'd like to be able to have it be put where I want but that's easy to move.
What I'm doing now is following the link to a separate tab, then copying the link, then pasting it in. I use blogger and Firefox 2.0.x and my blog is http://nonnotablenatterings.blogspot....
If there is some helps, I missed it, I read the FAQ but it wasn't there. You may want to add a link on the site to where docs are :) So far I love this tool, it rocks so consider this a quibble!
