You are right that we have stopped consuming feeds. This was a forced move due to a necessary simplification of the product model. The scope of the system had grown too large for our small team and the interface had become too cluttered.

The cancellation of the feed synchronization is temporary though. We plan to reintroduce a simpler and smarter method for syncing with the most popular social media sites at a later stage.

In the mean time, we do provide bookmarking features.

If you have any suggestions on how you would prefer the synchronization to operate in the new interface, I would be thankful for any feedback that you might have.

That is a great idea Katti. We're currently working on a simplified version of SB. I hope we will be able to accommodate some of these features more easily in this version.

Jo, I responded to your previous request asking you to send me an email from the address you used to register on Secondbrain, so that I can verify your email address/that the account belongs to you before I delete your account.

Thank you for reporting this.

There may be a slight delay as the sync app is working very hard these days. If it has never updated, you might try to remove it and add it again. Perhaps that will take care of it. If it still does not work for you, I can investigate it. Maybe there is an issue with the link to the service.

In any case, we are currently working on a faster and more efficient synchronization application. It should be ready in a couple of weeks.

How to add a bookmark straight from the website

1. Choose "bookmarks" from the dashboard
2. Choose "Install Bookmarklets" on the left side.



3. Drag and drop the following buttons to your browser's bookmarks toolbar, Add to S|B to add web pages directly from your browser. (Internet Explorer IE, Firefox, Chrome etc.)



When you find a website you want to add to Secondbrain, hit Add to S|B from your browser and this feature will emerge:



The bookmark will now turn up in your profile in Secondbrain.

This is related to a new update from Adobe. Basically they released a Flash update that blocks JavaScript or Flash from poping up a file browse dialog.

We're are currently working on a workaround for this. Sorry for the inconvenience.

If you select content options on the content page you will find options for making the item public or private. If it is a Secondbrain bookmark or a collection, you can also delete the item.
