You can see your private google docs, but other users cannot. If there is a key lock on the content item and the text private next to it, it is only visible to you.

We just added "Other blogs" to our list of services. It can ready any blog system that provides RSS feeds. So now you can add any blog to your Secondbrain library.

This is a good point Idaa. We have been struggling a bit with finding the appropriate term for this. Part of the reason we chose import was that it is more specific than manage, but it's not very precise either... We could call it Manage Services also perhaps. Kind of like your idea about separating import new and manage current services... Need to think about this.

Ideally we should not have these problems, but you have a good point about being more upfront about the status of the various services. It may relieve some of the frustration.

The challenge is to update the status dynamically on the individual service pages. I will review this with my product manager. Perhaps we could consolidate all information about Secondbrain status on a single page and point to it from relevant areas in the service.

We should get all of them really. But sometimes there might be a lag. Perhaps you could check if you can find them all under the library tab.

Sorry about that Idaa. We just reset the synchronization service so you should be able to remove it now. Sometimes it gets into a loop and we need to reset it manually. Working on a permanent fix for this.

Yes, this is a feasible idea. Right now we get thumbs from Thumbshots, but I think in the future we may switch to a service that gives more specific thumbs or just capture the previews ourselves.

In general, we want the previews to be as rich, live and current as possible. For media services like YouTube this is easy because they provide embed codes for us. For web pages it's a bit more difficult. Perhaps there is something we could do with RSS to get even better previews than images.

I must say I like this idea as well. We are considering two approaches for this. One is based on drag and drop, the other on clicking an item and then receiving relevant add to options directly.

Hard to say. I need to negotiate with my developers. But about four, five weeks or so. We deploy new releases according to a fixed schedule, so it's a matter of "forcing" it into the iteration after the current, which is due in two weeks. An iteration is either two or three weeks long.

I think it is coming in the iteration after the next. It's one of our most requested services and a high priority for us.

I'm really grateful that you take time out of your schedule to share your feedback and suggestions with us. I've noticed that you are one of our precious power users. At the stage we are now, feedback from users like you is our most valuable asset.

Our goal is to have a direct dialog with our users and be very responsive to questions and suggestions. We read all messages and usually respond to everybody with a personal email.

I noticed we didn't respond to your previous message within a reasonable time. This was because we didn't get the notification as expected from GetSatisfaction. From now on we will rely on RSS feeds that give us real time updates everytime something is submitted to GS, but please allow 24 hours due to time zone issues and the fact that we sometimes need to think about your suggestions before we respond:)

We review all suggestions from our users and put them in our iteration plan as appropriate. Sometimes we're not able to fix something immediately, and move it to the next iteration. It's always a struggle to make the right priorities and fit everything in.

Please keep the suggestions coming, Chris. You seem to be spot on in the issues that we need to fix and the features we need to bring in. We have a great roadmap for the fall and look forward to releasing the next major updates to Secondbrain.
