I'll admit, that was quite a good comeback. – Lawrence Job, on August 31, 2009 21:41

I'm disappointed that you have such a low opinion of me. Oh, it was me that compared TinyGrab's implementation of cloud-storage to that of Google. Really, it's the same principle - I hope I don't have to explain.
GridFusions was founded in 2004 and has since made profit in the tertiary and quaternary sectors by offering high quality web-based services, including Furion, TfH and the upcoming StormCloud.
I'll admit, it's a pretty old photo. I much preferred the cupcake.
Edit: I just want to clarify, I *personally* am in no way affiliated with TinyGrab or Keyone Productions.

Sorry, that doesn't even make sense. What has DRM got to do with cloud-based software? Are you going to boycott Google next? – lawrencejob, on August 31, 2009 20:00

I'm with Chris on this.
It's immature and ignorant to expect businesses to leave profitable models and move onto so-called 'open standards'.
The idea is that you pay for usage of the TinyGrab service for a certain amount of time. I can't see any advantage to your suggested model - it earns less and is far less secure from a business standpoint. It's also completely irrelevant to the nature of the product.
They have a service that works in a way that countless users use daily, and appreciate - they're not going to suddenly stop, rewrite everything and give everything they've worked hard to create away.
With regards to Keyone Productions, our company has had a long working relationship with them and they've never let us down. We've also been using the product since its launch.
There's always one...

lawrencejob reported a problem in DailyBooth on March 08, 2009 16:14:
User Activity bug - lists own followers.Profile Activity information shows (partially) your information, not the person's:
"People you're following who you're following (32)" is followed by the person's followers (the actual pictures).

Email bombardment - throttling emails.I really like the comment threads, so I don't want to turn them off, but can't they turn themselves off on a per-thread basis after, say, 30 people have responded? Or just email you when you follow the person?
Just a thought, what do you guys think?

Facial Tagging.Ever thought of face tagging? That could be a really nice feature, as long as it doesn't get in the way too much...
lawrencejob replied on March 02, 2009 17:14 to the question "Can i upload my picture or send it via Email?" in DailyBooth:
On a Mac, download CamTwist and take a photo of the photo by taking a photo of the screen.
As for the problem, surely it'd be simple to create some simple analysis software? Analyze differences in pixels to check for faces or solid colours? Having thought about it, despite my lack of webcam, if you can't be sure they're all faces, it defeats the object of the site and it shouldn't be used.
That made sense in my head.
A comment on the update "Decrease in followers: suspended accounts removed from followers pages" in Twitter:
Dimension, nobody joins Twitter to gain followers for the same reason MySpace users don't join solely to gain friends.
However, on Twitter, it's nice to see that people are interested in you (even in some kind of self-esteem restoring-ish way), and you do find that with more followers, you get a far better balanced discussion going with them. – lawrencejob, on December 19, 2008 17:16

Groups is something for the API to deal with, methinks. Our company's working on something like that, but I can't say much more than that. – lawrencejob, on December 19, 2008 17:12-

Try logging out and in again on Twitter.com, note that it's case sensetive. Also try restarting (hold the top button to shut down and wait for about a minute). – lawrencejob, on August 21, 2008 07:26

Basically it's too big for edge to cope with at the time, so it times out... Just try again or use a different network type. – lawrencejob, on August 21, 2008 07:23
