Thank YOU Scott. The Enigmail add-on now works great with Postbox 1.0.2 build. – LB, on October 27, 2009 01:45

Didn't work. The Enigmail add-on says "Not compatible with Postbox 1.0.2" and the enable button is grayed. – LB, on October 25, 2009 20:28

Yes, I was seeing this with 1.0.1. I just installed 1.0.2 and the issue isn't immediately apparent.
However 1.0.2 disabled Enigmail, so I can't test for long. Could you please update the Enigmail plugin? – LB, on October 24, 2009 15:33
LB asked a question in Postbox, Inc. on October 24, 2009 01:53:
Messages opened in tabs sometimes show header, sometimes notWhen I double click a message, it opens in a new tab, but sometimes the header info is displayed, and sometimes there is no header at all. Is this a bug?
It would be nice to have the choice to turn off the header or minimize it to save space. That's the reason I'm opening the message in its own tab. Nonetheless the actual behavior doesn't seem consistent. Thanks.-

A comment on the question "i don't see an outbox. is there one?" in Postbox, Inc.:
The problem is that the unsent message wasn't "unread" (bold) so there was nothing to draw my attention to the folder, nor was there an unread message count "(1)" to call attention to Local Folders.
I have no reason to ever use Local Folders, and it looked the same as always. If "Local Folders" could go bold when there's an outgoing message, or some other visual indication was there, that would help. – LB, on October 07, 2009 04:54

Messages in the "outbox" aren't really visible unless you know they are there, or you restart Postbox. I had a message hiding there for several days, until I restarted Postbox and was asked if I wanted to send it.
Is there a way to make it more obvious that you have outgoing mail waiting to be sent?-

LB replied on October 06, 2009 07:56 to the problem "Plaintext templates being saved as HTML" in Postbox, Inc.:
I first noticed this bug when I saw that all my template messages show a bunch of html code when opened from the template folder. New and old (pre-postbox) alike. All are text-format.
If I go ahead and mail the message with the html code, the recipient also sees the raw html code. So it doesn't seem to be a true html email.
If I create a new HTML formatted email in Postbox, by pressing Shift while clicking "New message," and save it as a template, then I see no html code, and it looks fine to the recipient, as it was sent as a true html message.
I find Postbox to have very few bugs. This is one of the only bugs I've found in the program.
So, is there any way to convert an already composed (but not sent) "text" message to html format?-

This is minor:
When viewing encrypted messages as a "conversation" it appears encrypted, and you are given no opportunity to decrypt (no button appears, etc.) until you expand the conversation and click on an individual message from the conversation.
When you collapse the conversation, even right after entering your GPG password to view one message from it, the conversation appears as encrypted garbage.
Conversations in general:
I'm not sure if its related, but now that I look at it, this "conversation" contains messages with different subjects, all with a subject that BEGINS with the same mailman listserv label in square brackets, like this: "[MyMailList] Theemailsubject" but the messages aren't actually related... Could this be a problem with Postbox's conversation detection?

Hi Scott,
Thanks very much for addressing this need. :) I really appreciate it, and I'm sure others do too.
I just installed the enigmail add-on you provided, and it decrypts the emails I tried just fine. More testing to come, but I had one problem during setup.
One bug:
- To recreate, go to OpenPGP, Key Management
- Select File, Import Keys from File...
- Select a key file (like prikey.asc)
When you select a key to import, it displays as one long horizontal line, with the entire key displayed on one line, extending way off both sides of the screen, and you can't see the available button(s). It needs to be formatted so it fits on a normal screen and the button(s) can be seen.
Thanks again.
