Overeager detection of "d" for direct messagesWhen posting non-ASCII (or perhaps non-latin) messages from the web interface, and a "d" is the first alphabetic character in a tweet, twitter thinks that the message is a "direct message" without a recipient, so it displays the following error:

Send 'd username message' to send a direct (private) message. You may reply to a direct message the same way.

However, the message is not intended to be a direct message. Some examples:

The mail is in Japanese when I get added by a user (the follower) with their language set to Japanese, and English when the follower has their language set to English. -
