Add an introductory message to a friend request

When making a friend request, it would be nice to be able to attach a brief message. This could appear as a specially-coloured Plurk in the recipient's timeline. This feature would help with the problem those of us with private timelines have, of not knowing whether to accept a friend request or not.

The downside is that this could be a way for people to spam the timeline of someone with a private timeline.

Mine also dropped 0.26 when I had only plurked 11 times in 2 days. I thought the limit was 20 times per day?

A comment on the problem "Need to be able to completely block a specific user" in Plurk:

I agree that this is possible. However it really means closing down interaction with new people completely and thus changes the nature of the beast rather too much. I feel that if many people do that, their timelines will stagnate, leading to them dropping off plurk. I would find a comprehensive block more useful, and would be interested to hear if that is too difficult or seriously undesirable from Plurk's point of view. – Lemon Grass, on September 02, 2008 01:04

Please assist us with the ability to block a specific user from appearing on our timelines. We would like to be able to select a user and then be assured that their plurks and plurk responses don't appear on our screens. For example, if spammer spams my friend then when I look at my friend's plurks in my timeline I should not see messages from spammer.

I've separated this from other blocking topics as it is unrelated.

notes that you can edit/delete the original plurk at any time, and thinks the same logic would be best applied to editing/deletiing responses.

Yes! A facility to allow access to plurk comments is what us plurkers need.
