OMG!
I can't believe it, I attempted to go to a site that uses Flash (inparticular, Adobe Flash) that's been around for decades now and the iPhone doesn't allow me to view or even download the flash player!
My push/fetch email doesn't push to the phone automatically, I have to shut the phone down and back on and then it appears...what's up with that???? Major issue!
Folks, just another item to add to your LONG lists to Apple. Below is my revised list to send to...click here.... http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone....
- push and fetch email issues of not automatically pushing it to iPhone 3G, have to turn phone of and back on to get it to push each time (nothing to do with MobileMe)
- FLASH player (adobe is the most popular and well known)
- Bluetooth connectivity to every device (no locked down garbage that is on there now, not compatible with anything)
- voice dialing & recording
- voice activated & instructed turn-by-turn GPS navigation w/ real-time tracking (not just Google maps)
- MMS
- cut, copy & paste ability
- auto word complete that really works
- longer battery life
- the iPhone should offer tethering to laptops for use as a modem
- an external memory card (4GB, at minimum)
- navigation with voice activated gas pricing, restaurants, etc like what the Samsung Instinct offers thru Sprint (similiar to on-Star)
- how about LIVE TV & news on video, another thing the Instinct and regular basic phones offer
Please EVERYONE! Please write to Apple now by clicking below....

I'm in the exact same predicament. I bought the iPhone three days ago and I'm not very impressed. The only real improvement over my 5 year old phone is the browser and the sleek look. I really dislike the lock down that Apple puts on the device. They should get over themselves and allow us to decide what apps should run on the phone. – leolll, on August 28, 2008 18:58

My 10 yr old Sanyo phone even allowed tethering to my laptop thru Sprint and I was not charged extra for it either.
I am actually EXTREMELY disappointed NOW with the (2) iPhone 3G's I just purchased AND AT&T's pricing for the very little they offer!!!
What really burns me is I bought these iPhones for $140 more than the Samsung Instinct and for the same amt of money per month that I'm paying with AT&T, I was getting 800 more anytime mins with Sprint on the Samsung Instinct and I was getting FREE LIVE TV, NEWS, everything! I was able to use bluetooth with everything, including hooked up to my GPS and for file sharing, was able to take the card out and transfer files off that to any phone or pc with my card reader, was getting voice activated dialing, voice activated turn-by-turn EXCELLENT navigation (REAL-TIME!)
I got better reception and was on the internet faster, the battery lasted days w/ talking and standby.
Shall I go on???????
Oh...I've had these iPhone 3G's for 3 wks now and I saw 3G 1 time which it blinked on for 1 - 2 seconds...NEVER saw it before and I've never seen it since. Only E ALL of the time.
At the 1 - 2 seconds time I did see the 3G, I was actually attempting to get on the net and it wouldn't allow me on, even under 3G!!!
Apple...your iPhone 3G is EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!!!!!!! :((((
You've definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and with your latest 2.0.2 update, I have been having more and more issues with apps and the net.
I have 1 more week to decide if I'm going back to Sprint and the Samsung Instinct.
This really SUCKS that you FALSELY advertised your product and caused me this aggravation and inconvenience.-

@freerange: That response is almost comical. All you've done is come up with lame alternatives to features that should already be available. – leolll, on August 28, 2008 17:06

No worries, I gotcha. I think there's a 15 min timer on being able to edit/delete a comment here, but i've noticed that disappearing if you refresh the page. Also, no notifications for comments. Now that sounds familiar... – Casey Greene, on April 09, 2008 23:34

Apparently, 'Delete this comment' doesn't work yet, either. Sorry. :( – Guy Fawkes, on April 09, 2008 17:43

Casey, see my next post. I can't post it in a comment, because comments don't allow links (or any html, apparently). – Guy Fawkes, on April 09, 2008 17:41

Casey, I tested the idea from your comment, but it doesn't work. If you go to the Recent Activity page, you are prompted to log in, but...if you go the FrontPage, you can see the Recent Activity tab and it's contents.
Ms. P,
Here's how you can accomplish your goals, using Casey's excellent suggestion.
(1) Create a new page, named something like "Recent Activity for Admins".
(2) Edit the "real" RecentActivity page, and copy the contents (click "Source", then click in the edit window, press Ctrl-A to select all, then Ctrl-C to copy).
(3) On the new page, click "Source". Paste those contents into the edit window (Ctrl-V).
(4) Mark the page as 'hidden', and save it.
(5) Test the new page to make sure it shows the Recent Activity information.
(6) Once you've verified that the new page works, delete the old RecentActivity page. Now, only admins can see that information.
You should be all set!

Casey,
I just tested this, and it doesn't work. The Recent Activity page is, indeed hidden, but if you go to the FrontPage, the 'Recent Activity' tab still shows the recent activity. – Guy Fawkes, on April 09, 2008 17:34

If you've upgraded your wiki to a premium plan, and contacted either sales or billing about getting "Hideable Pages" you'll be able to hide the Recent Activity page so that only Admins can see it. – Casey Greene, on April 09, 2008 17:03-
