Hi Dominique, you'll have to use the More Accounting package to have multiple sales taxes. Here's a video on sales taxes. http://www.viddler.com/explore/lessev...
You can use the data you collect in LessAccounting to do your taxes, we do not calculate taxes for you. We're not trying to replace your accountant, but to make your daily bookkeeping activities faster and less painful.
I don't quite understand your last question about checks. But if you have an expense that is paid by check you can record the check number in less accounting as well. Clarify your questions if you don't mind.

Hi Matthew, we currently do not have inventory controls. Many companies with a limited product supply use the cloning feature.

Hi Chris, I am guessing you imported your data with a qif or qfx file. Can you email that file to Eugen@LessEverything.com. He'll get your file imported correctly. Can you uninvite me from your account and invite Eugen?

Hi James, so at the time the account was charged do you think the importing stopped? We'll get your account back working, let's first fine the issue. – Allan, on June 26, 2009 16:48
Allan replied on June 26, 2009 15:34 to the question "Bank balances not in chart of accounts" in Less Everything:
Chris, did you set the starting balance of the account "Settings > Bank Accounts"? You'll need to check with your bank and verify the account balance for the date of the oldest transaction we've imported for that account.
If that doesn't help, can you invite allan@lesseverything.com to your account as a trusted member? "Settings > Members" If you're the account owner you can invite me in.

Allan replied on June 25, 2009 21:42 to the problem "sales tax computation is wrong." in Less Everything:
Hi, sorry about the confusion. Sales tax is calculated per line item (7% x line item total). When the sales taxes for a line item have a half a cent we round up to the nearest cent. You're probably seeing these half cent "round-ups". As appose to calculating the sales tax for the sum of the line items.
Let me know if this makes sense.
