I haven't seen it anywhere, so... It would be nice to invite friends by email, and when they join Topixz that would be automatically added as friends.

It seems that some profile pics aren't converted correctly when added to Topixz. They are huge and take lots of time to be displayed. Many examples can be seen in the Spotlight page:

I tried to upload a screenshot from the iPhone (PNG file) and the Pixelpipe app crashed. My setting was to resize the image to 1024x768... After changing it to full resolution it apparently worked...

No matter what app you are using or used, if you use DiskAid you should be able to remove any extra files/folders from DCIM and it is what fixed my problem... – LF Martins, on December 18, 2008 23:20

SocialThing on iPhone: bug and suggestion

I simply love SocialThing and I have just discovered that it has a mobile page for iPhone as well! It's very good: works well, looks good and is almost as feature rich as the desktop version. There are two things that I miss tho, one of them is a bug:

- When you click on a contact's avatar, it goes to a page that should load her/his stream, but it stays blank (no entries at all). Going back to my FriendsStream (Home) works tho;

- Please also add a link on the main page to show my own stream (my entries), like the desktop version. I think it would be easy do it, addin a button on the header at the main page with my own avatar, for instance.

Hope both things get fixe/implemented soon! Thanks in advance!

A comment on the problem "iPhone app 1.2 crashes on start!" in Pixelpipe:

As I said in my previous comment, I used Discover, a free iPhone app, to delete the file (it was the same app I used to move the image to the folder that causes Pixelpipe to crash on startup).

The problem is that the new version released yesterday (0.9.6) doesn't allow you to delete files in the Photos directory (it's actually DCIM in the iPhone file system). Researching on the Internet I found a free program that can be used with either Mac or PC to remove the files from Photos/DCIM folder, called DiskAid:

Looks like you can't do it on Fluid/Fluidinstance apps...

Safari allows this if you use the contextual menu "Save Linked File As...".

Camino allows this when you hold a key when clicking on a link (I forgot what key...).

Maybe Fluid/Cruz can incorporate one of these... ;)

Bugs in Userstyles and Bookmarklets

Two bugs that affects Fluid, one of them also Cruz:

- Userstyles are loaded only for the current tab. So, for instance, if you start a Fluidinstance with many tabs from the previous session, only the frontmost one will have Userstyles applied. This also plagues Cruz.

- It seems that bookmarklets that opens new windows/tabs are blocked on Fluidinstance apps, even if 'Block Pop-up Windows' is disabled. An example is Multiply's "Blog This!" bookmarkelt. Cruz seems to be immune, at least when blocking pop-up windows are _disabled_. It would be nice if both apps would open new windows when JavaScript links are clicked, like bookmarlets (I think I have said this already somewhere else).

OK, I found the problem: I was 'playing' with Discover (a free app that enables file exchange between iPhones) and moved a PNG file to the root of the "Photos folder", the same place where the "camera roll" (or 100APPLE folder) is located... After I removed this file, Pixelpipe started to work again.

Did all this again, nothing changed... Even deleted, rebooted and re-installed the app again, no deal. I still think it's crashing, and it's not an authorization problem.

Yes, I can assure you that I have changed the switch to OFF after starting the app with it ON once. Also deleted all Safari cookies and cache on iPhone too... Nothing changed. Can't do a restore now, and I am not willing to do it any time soon... Any other suggestions?
