It's not the USB ports. My USB2 drive works perfectly. It's my firewire drives that don't work well. Since I reported thisI have purchased Gdrives, and I have haven't had any problems with them. -

Why is my computer crashing when my porche drives are plugged in?I have 2 Porche Drives (not even a year old), and both of them have been very noisy and get very hot. I've have sent one in because it was making grinding noises to be told that they could not replicate the problem. Though the grinding noises has stopped, they still make tons of noise and whenever they are being used, it causes my new imac to freeze. Could this be a possible driver issue, or is this something more serious? I also have a 250GB usb2 porche drive that has never ever had these issues! -

I agree that this "feed" could be a possible security/privacy risk. With that said, this is the risk we take using applications like this. I always assume that everything I say will be seen by another person. The "changing the key" feature is a good solution for the time being.
However, I wish that I could make a feed of the notes I send out that aren't private (such as things I send to all of my friends on pownce). I know it kind of goes against what pownce is all about (controlling what content is seen/sent to users), but I would love to have a feed that one could add to a webpage or a profile on another social network.
