Part of my frustration is that I've posted about several issues on Get Satisfaction regarding Twitter and never, ever have I seen someone from Twitter respond to any of them. They've outsourced customer support to their own customers.
I really don't know what they do all day at Twitter because it seems like it gets less and less functional and they don't respond to their own users. It's only because there isn't a good alternative (yet!) that people have stuck with Twitter. They are a success in spite of themselves and their indifferent attitude towards their users.
I appreciate the workaround solutions proposed, I do. But even more I'd like to see someone from Twitter respond to user's problems on Get Satisfaction and no depend on other users to explain Twitter's problems to their fellow users.

How do I delete old comments? How do I delete old comments? Users should be able to delete comments or one's entire account. This is pretty standard for message board accounts, why not on Gizmodo? Pretty old-fashioned for a technology blog. You would think a tech blog would allow more functionality for its readers/users.-

You miss the value of People Search. It is not to import your friends (whose usernames you probably know) but to find people you don't know, people who live nearby or who are in the same line of work. It's especially important for new users who don't have a lot of people to follow when they first sign up. That's how I first found people when I signed up for Twitter last spring. It was invaluable.
I think even if some are abusing the system (what, exactly?) it is better to have some way to find people than nothing. I'd rather be contacted by the occasional spammer than to not have People Search enabled.

Can record but not playback videoI can record a video but when I try to play it to see how it turned out, nothing happens, I get no playback. I've tried this on several different browsers with the same result.
Liz asked a question in Twitter on September 07, 2008 17:18:
Why doesn't Twitter actually answer questions on Get Satisfaction? Why doesn't Twitter answer the questions posted here? If there were 19 employees listening & participating, I wouldn't still be waiting months later for a simple response. You should stop using Get Satisfaction if you aren't going to monitor it and answer user questions because it results in anger & frustration, not satisfaction. All I've found is lots of people who are similarly frustrated. It's misleading to appear to use this service to address consumer's question and then leave users to try & help each other out.
Liz replied on September 07, 2008 17:11 to the question "What's up with the Bar Camp blog?" in BarCamp:
Yes. If it isn't going to be updated at least once a month, you should take it down. Being out-of-date is worse than not being online at all. JMHO.
Think anyone actually ever reads Get Satisfaction? I've never got any official response from any of their clients other than from fellow users. It has never provided me with any satisfaction.

I'm still confused. Your answer concerns when our old Tweets might be available to the user but my question is are they archived? MDY says she can access her first Tweets but I was told by someone else that Tweets are deleted after a year.
Which is the case? Are they kept on your servers indefinitely or deleted after a certain period of time?
