A comment on the discussion "Tumblr is sorely missing any real semblance of support" in Tumblr:
Yes perhaps it's just my experience. I have sent an email to Tumblr support, then posted several times on Get Satisfaction, and NONE of these have received responses of any kind (aside from the automated email response). Though I think it's worth pointing out that the only support post I make that *does* get a response is a negative comment. I don't want to bash Tumblr, I LOVE Tumblr, but I have been frustrated with the support issue. – Logan, on September 05, 2008 05:42

Tumblr is sorely missing any real semblance of supportTumblr is a great service, but seriously, there's no real support for it. I've noticed that most posts on GetSatisfaction go unanswered. It's a shame.
One of the legs a great product stands on is support (no pun intended). Tumblr needs to figure this out.

iTunes Compatible Podcast Feed for Audio PostsI really think it would be cool if there was a way to make the audio posts into an iTunes compatible Podcast feed. Then it would automatically take any audio posts and create an iTunes Podcast feed out of them. This could then be submitted to iTunes as a Podcast which people could download and use on their iPods.
There would have to be proper "enclosure" support, as well as tweaking the XML to be compliant to iTune's standard.
Come to think of it, why can't you download the audio files that are uploaded to an audio post?

Using Tumblr for iTunes Compatible PodcastsIs it possible to use Tumblr to create an iTunes compatible Podcast feed? Or, is the RSS (XML) feed that Tumblr outputs able to be submitted to iTunes as a Podcast?-

A comment on the question "Embedded badge doesn't make links clickable!" in Twitter:
I have pretty extensive CSS applied to the current badge. Is there any way that it will remain effective if I start using your badge? Also, I just thought of this, does your badge output better markup than the Twitter one? For example, I have specific CSS instructions for the "about 3 days ago" link at the end of every post. But there's no markup for this link; it's simply an 'a' tag. So if there are any clickable links in my posts, they will have the same CSS applied to them. This will break the functionality of the badge. What are your thoughts? – Logan, on August 07, 2008 22:17

A comment on the question "How can I use hash tags to find and read posts on a topic?" in Twitter:
So Twitter itself does not offer a real use of hash tags as a way of reading posts? – Logan, on August 06, 2008 06:18

Future Development ResearchIf you want a good desktop app to get ideas from, "Things" is a great place to start.

Also, if you read the book "Getting things done" it might help with some design ideas down the road.

These are only things that would help if you were looking to make the app more complex (which I'm not wild about if I can't return to its current simplicity).

"Rapid Add" for bulk-adding tasks"Rapid Add" could be a feature where it's simply the add task field. That's it.
Then a user can add tasks as fast as s/he can type, without having to wait for the task to be translated down into the list.
This field could also be a multi-line text area and each line-break would represent a separate task. Then a user could add multiple tasks with one click of the submit button.
