A comment on the question "Stolen iPhone" in Apple:
Ah, that's understandable.
You can't blame them for that really. They can't do a whole lot more without being abused by people taking advantage of the system. I wish there was some kind of insurance for the iPhone though. Maybe through a credit card company? – Logan, on July 09, 2008 21:53
Logan replied on July 09, 2008 18:51 to the problem "MY IPODS ALSO SUCKED" in Apple:
I am sorry, but I have had such a different experience with my iPhone. Its headphone jack was messing up (presumably because it had pocket lint in there), so they cleaned it out. But I went to the Apple store and requested that they replace it, because I thought it might be an electrical short, and they did! No questions asked. They transferred all my information to the new iPhone and handed it to me.
One thing that I think really helps with customer care is not being angry or treating the techies like it's their fault. Just be nice, and they'll be much more likely to be nice to you.

Logan replied on July 09, 2008 18:30 to the question "Time Machine Required to Back-up with Time Capsule?" in Apple:
You CAN do a wireless backup, but it will just be very slow. Especially if you are backing up the whole darn thing every time. That's why Time Machine is so good, because after the initial full backup, it only backs up the files that need to be, which make wireless backups more feasible (though still slow).
If you found a program that will only backup modified or new files, that might be the ticket; however, for the first full backup, I would recommend using an ethernet cable.

Logan replied on July 09, 2008 18:25 to the question "Apple phone support is terrible." in Apple:
I've had the exact opposite experience. While I think it's reasonable to expect a waiting period when calling tech-support for a large company, I didn't experience a wait that was extremely long. The techie was able to help me fix my problem in a very short amount of time, spoke english, and was pleasant.
That said, your problem may have been more complex than mine. I know I have also had a very good experience when I go into an actual Apple Store to seek tech help.

A comment on the question "Taskr" in Beau Designs:
Is there a plan for a Google Gears or Adobe Air implementation on the iPhone/iPod Touch? That might be a potential solution.
However, I have heard that developing on the iPhone is quite enjoyable (though I personally have never developed a desktop app). It might not be too difficult to develop a desktop app that syncs with the online app. – Logan, on July 09, 2008 18:19

Logan replied on July 08, 2008 22:26 to the discussion "What are some of the most important things for a task manager?" in Beau Designs:
I love the simplicity of this app. Don't make it any more complex without making a way for users to use it in its current simplicity.
Things that are "musts" for me:
- Speed. This thing has to be blazing fast on Edge for iPhone.
- Persistent Login.
I need to have as many obstacles removed for a task manager to actually work for me. If I have to log in, or wait for any unreasonable amount of time, it's useless. More fields are also useless to me (right now).
One thing that might be nice is to be able to allow other users to see your tasks and add tasks to your list and vice/versa.
A comment on the question "How can I remove/uninstall Soocial?" in Soocial:
What if there was a "Help" article that told you how to do it, but there was a link to that help article in the prefs pane.
It could be next to the "Off/On" switch in the prefs pane. It could say "I want to remove Soocial" and link to either the help article or the website. That way it's in a place that the user would look first, not go looking for as a second resort. – Logan, on May 30, 2008 17:52
A comment on the idea "Checking *out*" in Brightkite:
There should be somewhere that you can describe where you are, as well as giving the location. With the advent of cell phones with internet connectivity, we're not always just sitting somewhere with an address. So you could put "Stuck in traffic" in "Chicago", or "On my way to Dallas" driving through "Little Rock". – Logan, on May 30, 2008 17:49

Multiple Gmail/Google "Connections"I have heard that there will be the option in the near future to synchronize Soocial with multiple Gmail/Google accounts.
For clarification, I have a couple questions regarding this feature:
- Will it make all connections have the same contact information?
- How often will it synchronize the two Gmail/Google accounts with one another?

A comment on the question "Address Book Sync or Soocial Sync?" in Soocial:
Will there be the ability to sync multiple Gmail accounts with Soocial? Right now you can only create one Gmail connection, but I would like to have at least two. – logan, on May 29, 2008 19:14
