Logan Koester replied on July 17, 2009 02:41 to the problem "pinglater.fm not displaying properly" in PingLater.FM:
Thanks for taking the time to let me know. It looks as though you are using Internet Explorer 6. This browser is now 8 years old and does not support many important features of modern browsers that PingLater.fm depends on to function.
Rather than degrade the overall experience for other users to support a browser which accounts for only 0.64% of our traffic, I recommend upgrading to a more recent (free) browser, such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, or Safari.

Logan Koester replied on July 02, 2009 19:23 to the question "need pro version ASAP" in PingLater.FM:
Sorry for taking so long to reply. The Pro version should be available roughly a week from now. Pro features will be rolled out one by one as they are completed. I'm aiming at one release per week for the foreseeable future, but this is software we're dealing with, so nothing ever goes exactly as planned. I'm sure some weeks will be spent fixing bugs and making invisible changes to improve performance and things of that nature.
Thanks for your interest! I will post again to this thread when Pro accounts become available.

I'm not sure why some of your posts are not being scheduled once entered, since as far as I can tell nobody else is experiencing this problem, but I will continue to monitor it and find a solution if I can reproduce the issue.
I am aware of the text box problem affecting some browsers. This can be temporarily fixed by unchecking the "growing text areas" box on the settings page. It will be fixed properly very soon.
Thank you for your feedback!

Logan Koester replied on June 22, 2009 04:44 to the question "What does the "TweetShrink" button do?" in PingLater.FM:
The TweetShrink button uses common abbreviations to compress your message, making it easier to fit into the 140 character limit for a tweet or the 200 character limit for a status update.
For example, "Some text to shrink" becomes "sum text 2 shrnk"
By the way, I noticed you're using Internet Explorer. PingLater.fm does not yet support this browser, and some features may work poorly, or not at all. I recommend upgrading to Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome (both of which are free).
IE support will improve over time, but it is a low priority.

Logan Koester replied on June 15, 2009 03:55 to the idea "Unofficial icons for TweetShrink" in TRNSFR:
You can use them for whatever you like. I made it because I needed an icon for the upcoming revision of PingLater's dashboard. If you want to you could use it as the favicon for TweetShrink - it's pretty generic, but it beats not having one, right? :-)
Logan Koester replied on June 13, 2009 18:52 to the question "Ping by SMS or Email?" in PingLater.FM:
Thanks for your suggestion! I will be adding other interfaces down the road, (with a focus on mobile devices) and will definitely consider SMS and email as candidates for this project, but it will be a while yet, as there is a lot of code to write and at least for now I am working alone. These features will likely be available only to PingLater Pro subscribers.

How to integrate TweetShrink with your text editorWhy stop at tweets? Why not integrate TweetShrink right into your text editor? I've written a guide on how to do this at http://blog.logankoester.com/human-readable-text-compression.
You can also use my Ruby gem to shrink text from the command-line directly, or integrate it into your own scripts and websites.
