A comment on the idea "x-files widget is problematic. more to come?" in Seesmic:
sounds good. my concern is that the solution is a complex one. simple is best. there is quite a lot of talk on this topic but it is spread across services. just wanted this to be on the radar as a 'hot topic' – sean808080, on July 05, 2008 13:25

good point Sean. In the future when you create a video, you will be able to restrict where the replies can come from. And we will also add the source on the public timeline, to get context.
however the public timeline will remain the timeline where all the videos are, with the source. you are already able to switch to your following timeline and there will be more options (groups, tags) in the future.
sounds good?

:( No good! I'm really sorry to hear how much trouble you have had. I'm glad you're telling us about it, because we need to fix that. If you still have the original password reset email, could you forward it thomas at seesmic dot com so I can track down the issue? And if you still can't reset it, let me know in that email, and we'll work it out asap. – Thomas Knoll, on June 24, 2008 18:40

I'm not sure what to tell you. When I originally went to http://www.seesmic.com/ it was largely a black screen and only the option to Log In, not to Join. Now I go back and it looks normal. Maybe you were working on it at the time? Or I came via a link to a specific page that wasn't the main page. I really don't know.
I will tell you now that I have tried three times to reset my password without any success. The first email I got had a new password that wasn't accepted and the other two times, I didn't receive an email message at all. I will check my Spam folder and see if they were routed there by mistake.
I'm not having much luck logging into Seesmic!

Hi Liz, I see you were able to login. Glad you made it. If you have a moment, I would love to hear what was confusing so that we can improve the signup experience. – Thomas Knoll, on June 23, 2008 20:22

Maybe there should be the possibility to see a tagline under each vignette, that would show something like "re: @Loic" and a date/hour stamp? Hence you would visualize that Otir responded to Loic, when maybe further in the conversation Loic responded to Thomas, and Thomas also responded to Otir, who left a funny off-topic comment to Vinvin who had posted three hours earlier. Don't know if it makes sense. Thanks for checking in Loic! – Otir, on June 23, 2008 03:40

sound equalized from one video to anotherA Seesmic member had suggested we have the sound equalized from one video to another to avoid having to take the computer sound up and down all the time. Just wanted to save it here as I was thinking about it.

I went to www.seesmic.com but obviously that was the wrong URL. Thanks for providing me with the right one, Loic.
