Loic replied on September 22, 2008 03:51 to the question "What license does seesmic ship under?" in Seesmic:
Hello and thank you for your interest. Seesmic is free as we are building it. Feel free to use it and integrate our API on your Intranet for now, actually we would be very interested in your feedback on how you do it and how it goes. We will also always have a free version. We will have paid licenses new year but will be careful to let you use it as a non profit in an appropriate way depending on your use.

Hello RMartin, thank you so much for your interest in Seesmic for education, we see quite a few people interested.
For now you could start a video and ask them to reply on it, this way all the videos are "grouped" then you can export them all using our player (just grab the code).
We hope we will have groups up at the end of the month which will let you do what you describe, a group for your class. And I will always be listening to your suggestions. Thank you.
Loic replied on August 17, 2008 08:48 to the question "Can I arrange a compilation of video responses?" in Seesmic:
Hello Tracy thanks for your interest in Seesmic. You get them compiled in the threaded player: get the code below your video and post it somewhere you will see your video with all the replies in one place.
I am afraid that is all we have now, would you describe what you want in more details so that I see if we can plan to add it to the feature list? thanks

Loic replied on July 05, 2008 02:34 to the idea "x-files widget is problematic. more to come?" in Seesmic:
good point Sean. In the future when you create a video, you will be able to restrict where the replies can come from. And we will also add the source on the public timeline, to get context.
however the public timeline will remain the timeline where all the videos are, with the source. you are already able to switch to your following timeline and there will be more options (groups, tags) in the future.
sounds good?

sound equalized from one video to anotherA Seesmic member had suggested we have the sound equalized from one video to another to avoid having to take the computer sound up and down all the time. Just wanted to save it here as I was thinking about it.

Thanks Otir, about "Also what misses in this player is the ability to actually follow the course of the conversation (who replies to whom) because it is all linear, and not indented like it would be in a threaded conversation on a forum for instance", it's a good point, how would you present it though?
